Default The Last 20 (or so) Challenge

Okay folks, Fat Free and I are determinded women and we're on our last 20 (well, for me, last 26) and we are going to blast them away. Anyone who wants to join us - check in here everyday - say what you need to say - share you success, tricks etc. and we'll have a big party when we all reach goal.

I put this in the exercise section because for many of us, it just isn't gonna happen without exercise. And we will look FABULOUS!!

So here I go - I've posted this goal like, in 10 places on this forum..lol but anyway - I'm looking to lose 2-3 pounds a week for the next 13 weeks. Should be at goal in the end of April.

Anyone want to watch my back?

this is the deal for me...I am 3 years post op.........got to 10 pounds from goal and now I vary my weight 5 to 8 pounds from there. So at any given time I can satnd to loose the 10 plus 5 or 8 more giving me about 18 pounds to reach the goal I never reached.

So, I will give it one more chance and see if this push will get me the right directon!!

Here goes, my first plan of attack is eating fewer simple carbs and focus on more protein, fruit and veggies.

Excellent! I pretty much am living on meat, fruit and veggies. I also eat beans and sweet potatos. Lots of protein in beans with few calories and some fiber too - they're a good replacement for other starchy things.

Are you exercising too?

I have 20 pounds to goal and I hope to reach my goal by April 18th, which is my 57th birthday.

I plan on walking a lot more (got a pedometer now) and getting back into the gym at least 4x a week. I'm eating plenty of protein, vegies, fruit and loads of water.

Gotta do this....it's the best birthday present I could ever give myself!

You go! That gym work does help burn the calories. April 18 is my son's birthday! Cool.

On my last 20 here as well. I've been using an elliptical machine 3 - 4 times a week for the past several months, need to do it every day . My DW got a pilates machine for her birthday that I've been using for the past week. I'm really enjoying it. As for food, I've got to stop snacking off of my sons plate . I could really use a kick in the butt to get me running outside again. My dream goal is to run a marathon someday. Good luck everybody!

I don't think I will ever reach my goal. My Dr. didn't set one for me...I set my own and I have been 25lbs. above it for almost a year now. I am happy where I am at...but theres that little voice that whispers "hey fatty...you could stand to lose another 20lbs"!

I'm with Cindy. Happy where I am, yet the little voice does say "Hey Butterball, you could do better!" I stay between 155-160...and would like to lose another 20 or so, but don't seem to be able to do what it takes....exercise, eating right, laying off Starbuck's, etc. etc.
So, I am going to join Gina and the gang and see if I can get the scale moving on down again!!! I will actually make an effort and see what happens! I've got nothing to lose.....but those 20 lbs!!!! I'll be starting aqua-fit again next week! (this means I have to shave my legs! )
