Still at 162. At least the 3 pounds I've lost since posting has stayed off. Sometimes it feels like the harder I try to lose the more my body hangs onto the pounds! Geesh!

What's the 5-day pouch test???

Cinerbelle, the 5DPT is a website all its own. It stands for 5 day pouch test. It is for people who are getting away from the weight loss rules and to get off the carbs. A lot of people are doing it. I am done with day 2 which is all liquids, and soups. Tomorrow I get to have soft protein, like tuna, eggs, and such. Check out the website and read all about it.
I got all my steps in today, had to finish on the tredmill, I didn't get to go snow shoeing, no time.
I hope that the scales moves tomorrow!
How is everybody else doing?
Gina, I have accepted your challange, how are you doing? Lets get this OFF!

Sherri, Love,
How can you sleep after exercising that late? I can't do it that late, but I WAS there at 7:30 this morning! Maybe we can meet up somewhere in the middle on the weekend.

I'm in, I would be happy with 20 more, but in reality, I have a LOT more than that to go.

I have been having the weight control oatmeal for breakfast, I LOVE it. I have never been a breakfast girl, so this is a HUGE step for me.

I'll let you know when my damn period goes! I think I'm truly down around 157, but I'm so bloated! Ah well. It will show up on the scale when it does, you know?

Breakfast is really important! You have to tell your body that there is fuel/food to be had so it doesn't hold on to the fat. You have to eat to lose weight, you just have to eat REALLY smart! (At least at this point. 100 pounds ago didn't matter too much what I did!)

My day so far has been good.

I started out eating Fage yogurt with cottage cheese,
Lunch was 2 parmasan tuna patties,
Supper was 1 & 1/2 baked tipilia.
total cals are 1045 and protein was a wopping 124!

I had all my water, and did give up my creamer for lent so only had my decaf with sweetner, it really isn't bad that way, just not as creamy.

I walked for 2 - 30 min sessions on the tread mill so that I could get my 10,000 steps and guess what, I got in 10,700 WHOOOOOOOO that is great!

I was satisified after all my meals, but could have easly eaten more. I have my scales right at the table with me cause I can't listen to my pouch, I don't know if it is slow, or there is no conection to the brain!!!

And the darn scales still didn't move!!!!
How did everybody else do today?
Ann

Today sucked as I had to go to the doctor!! GRRRRRRRR...!!
Anyhow I am thinking of doing her medically supervised diet with my daughter as she has 25 to lose if not more at 10 1/2 but it’s safe so I feel good about it.

Ok I ate:
1. Soy protein shake
2. Banana strawberry yogurt from Starbucks with granola and extra granola cereal I added to be more filling
3. Turkey sandwich again
4. Some water and some green tea.....

Feel bloated and yucky as the doc said she wants to have a doc take out my gallbladder and fix the hernias...I HATE SURGERY!!

Well that’s my rant for today, no weight loss according to my scale but a gain by her scale (which I am not going off of :-) )

Oh Lynda,
Let’s try and meet up at 24 hour this weekend. I usually go late because kids got o bed about 9pm and I don’t have to feel like I am shorting them of mommy time.

Well, I made it through day 4 of the 5DPT! It was a little bit easier than yesterday for me. Here is what I had

breakfast=pumpkin sausage soup
lunch = feta chicken salad (boy that was good)
supper = the rest of the feta chicken salad
snack today = pudding made with extra protein
all my water, I made some sugar free koolaid, but have to count 50 cals on that,

vits and calcium
so my total calories were 1070, protein was 82
I got in 10,216 steps too.

I still didn't loose anything, this darn stall, I am hoping to see something tomorrow morn.

Ann

Default Its going girls!

Down to 159 - with my period! Means I'll be 157 or so when it is gone. I'll keep you all posted. LOTS of water!! NO food after 7:00. I tried not drinking after 7, but I get too dehydrated with the heat on. It is too damn cold. I'm ready for spring. And none of my clothes fit. Good troubles.

Getting up a little extra early tomorrow (if I can get some sleep!) to do an 80 minute run, then bike after work. Gonna try to burn over 1000 again. It really makes a difference!

Good luck everyone! It is possible - just a LOT of work.
