Cindy,

I'm 5'6 1/2, and I still feel fat. I know I'm thinner as I can wear size 12 now, but I see the loose skin and fat around my tummy that is impossible to get rid of. (thanks to a C-section 34 years ago) My DH grabbed my rear yesterday and I mentioned it wasn't there and he told me it was there, just flabby. (sigh) His comment wasn't made to be mean as I would rather have his honest opinion than a sugar-coated one.

I KNOW I can do better with my eating. I struggle every day to make sure I stay on track and not revert back to old habits. (like eating Cheese-Its) I can eat more now and that in itself worries me.

I seem to get more exercise at work with walking and at home doing housework and gardening. I'm very self-conscious and very shy and this makes it difficult to go to the gym. I tried Curves for awhile, but it didn't feel like I was working out....too little time on the machines...oh well...housework and gardening will ALWAYS be around!

Teri

P.S. Hubby thinks 145 may be too low for me.....worries he'll be hugging a bag of bones!

Elaine,

I hope you're feeling better soon! I get bronchitis (called Smog Cough when I was little) several times a year and it's no fun. Coughing hard enough to pee my pants and the feeling of choking is bad enough. Plus the horrible sound of the cough...ugh...fog horn....

I will have lost 100 pounds when I get to 155. If I get to my goal of 145 and manage to stay there, then I will be happy. I know the last 10 pounds are gonna be a bear to get off. But then how do I know this old body of mine won't go lower than that? Personally, I can't think of myself lower than 145, but who knows? When does it stop??

Teri

Today was a great day for me. We had our Christmas with my family, I know it is Feb but we are spread out in Michigan and can never get together at Christmas time. Well anywhy we met at Mt Pleasant at the casino and ate at their buffet, I did make good choices and they had sugar free deserts, so had a bite or two of 3 different things.

All my family couldn't believe how thin I have gotten, that made me feel so good. We all have terrible weight problems. They made me feel so good with their compliments, even my brother who has always been the biggest of us all said that he was real proud of me and that he hated me too for looking so good!

So when we got back home I was going to go upstairs and sew on my quilt but thought I might as well go out and snow shoe for a bit, I wanted to try to get some steps on my pedometer, (I am striving to make the 10,000 each day). Well, it was just so nice out there that I went a long way and looked at it and I was up to 8,500, so I said "self, you can do this!" So I made another lap around the hay field, and one around the pond and guess what........I made 10,362!!!!

Tomorrow is my weigh in day so I sure hope that the darn scales moves!! I will let you know!

Today I weighed the same so I am going to do the 5 day pouch test to hopefully get down some more. The last time I did the test I lost 4lbs and haven't lost anything sence. I am going to get my 10,000 steps today too!
So today and tomorrow it is only shakes, or soups. I love the sausage pumpkin soup so that is what I am making now. I think that I will try the pea soup for tomorrow. I am having a mocha shake for breakfast, you know these really do fill me up, I wasn't a big shake maker after surgery, but do find that I like them now that I have found the BODY FORTRESS protein powder at Wal-mart.

Ok I am in :-)
I was about 20lbs above my goal of 155 but now I am 30lbs grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... DANG Super Bowl Snacks!!
I know I go between 175-179 so I could be fluctuating a little or I need new batteries in scale :-) LOL!

Anyhow I ate, one egg and 2 turkey sausages for breakfast, skipped the 1/4 bagel and then ate a granola bar (organic low fat) for snack, drank water, and then ate small yogurt (the kind that regulate your bowels) with one banana and some blueberries, then more water. For lunch I will eat some pollo asada and rice. I am tired of feeling fat again when I pick clothes that used to be very becoming :-(

I did go "rock climbing/jumping" this weekend along the beach rocks and ran a bit on the curbs which is like running on a balance beam (used to be a gymnast when I was younger) so I got some exercise in :-)

And tonight I plan on hitting the 24 hour in Oceanside off the 76 if anyone local wants to meet me there after
