So, I am going to join Gina and the gang and see if I can get the scale moving on down again!!! I will actually make an effort and see what happens! I've got nothing to lose.....but those 20 lbs!!!! I'll be starting aqua-fit again next week! (this means I have to shave my legs! )

Ummm, I haven't shaved my legs since the day before my surgery, Aug 1, 07. Sounds like I should have bushy legs by now but I've been blessed with very little hair on my legs all my life. I think I shave my legs twice a year

Default Still going!

Well folks, nothing like a set back, but I'm on track again. Just ran for an hour and some, heart rate monitor says I burned 1050, but that sounds like a lot for me - think I need a new battery.

Food is going well - but I have to write it ALL down, every day or I'm nowhere. Lets hear it for grilled chicken and steamed brocolli. You can barely eat enough when you have that every day or two.

We all know what we need to do - and one thing I must say is that we can't keep doing the same thing! This last effort is just that - EFFORT! We have to be exact with food, push the calories we burn and drink water like nuts. That is the ticket and I know it.

So here I go, for sure. 26 pounds. How fast can it be done I wonder?? Guess I'll find out!!

Hi everybody, I just saw this and said to myself YES, YES, YES, I want to be included too. I don't have a doctors goal, but would like to get down to 130lbs. I am now at 154so have 24 to go.
I got a pedomoter for Christmas and love it. I strive to get 10,000 steps a day, and that is tough some days. But the last 2 days I have made it!! WHOO WHOO.
So count me in, this will be fun to be accountable, and I am sure it will help!!
I think that I should be writing down my eating too, I do know that helps me but I just hate to do it. Also need to drink all my water, I have been lacking there!

Welcome aboard Ann! The more the merrier. I changed something else this weekend too - besides writing down just calories, fat, protein, carbs, fiber, I bought a journal. I find that I need to reflect a little more than before - you know - work on the head stuff as I approach goal. So just buckle down and do it! It takes a few minutes, but I'm getting a lot more out of the time I spend analyzing my behavior, cravings, slips, truimphs etc. I actually learned so much using the food journal plus head journal, that I changed up my eating plan just a tiny bit. It is going to make me much more successful. Well, it has for two days anyway!! LOL. Here's hoping for the best.

Good luck - we're withing two pounds of eachother, eh? Wanna race???

The scales finally moving again but it may be a false alarm. Yesterday I had my normal breakfast and lunch....got busy cleaning my house for my DH's 50th birthday party here and completely forgot about eating dinner. Wasn't hungry until I finally climbed into bed at 12:55 am. Way too late to eat.

This morning I'm up at 6 am...just 4 hours of sleep! Had to finish the house, bake pies (no, I didn't taste or have any desire to eat them) and pick up food from the deli. I managed to get a soft-boiled egg down me and one of the tomato soup to go from Campbell's. Not much food in the past 2 days but a lot of exercise!

I'll get back to normal tomorrow....but I'm not gonna do housework! Doesn't need it anyhow....

I'm still sick w/bronchitis and respitory infection....so my schedule is all messed up! Not the best eating day yesterday, here's the highlights..Egg & hashbrown for breakfast, chili and a few bites of bread for lunch, and a slice of pizza for dinner. In between I had a Carmel Machiatto from Starbucks and a couple of Propel waters. Oh, and some popcorn at the movies. Not a great day...I'm up now because I just had a coughing fit...does that count as exercise? I now weigh in at 162! I put on some weight during these past few months....Mama needs to get on the exercise/water/eating right train!!! STAT!!!

Teri, I remember hitting 155 and staying there for months...I was happy there. I vowed to not go above 160 again....and then it happened...after the holidays and quite a few parties, I'm above 160! So, I am on my way back down to 155! That's my first goal...then we'll go from there! Don't get my wrong, 162 is way better than 262, but still, I feel if I don't set limits and goals and keep on it...it'll get away from me! I didn't go through surgery, bowel obstruction, a second surgery, pneumonia, 2.5 months off work on home oxygen and at death's door, just to gain the weight back again! Oh, hell no!!!!! It's not that kind of party!!!!!!!

As of today Elaine & Teri are 3 lbs. LOWER then my GOAL weight...dang, I hope you two are short!!! I am down 1lb....so only 24lbs. to goal. Hubby thinks that my goal is too low since 165 is what I weighed when we got married. I didn't have this surgery to get "skinny"...but to be able to live life the way I wanted to...to be able to ride the rides, play with the kids...have mind blowing sex again! I am doing all those things, so these last 24lbs. are just "gravy"...but it would be a hoot to see the 170's again...hmmm... 10lbs. to the 170's.... I have to dwell on that.....
