Default AND back on the bike!

I just hopped on my darling bike and did a quick mile and a half hill to see if I could still ride - and I CAN! I admit, I did feel it a bit in the abs, but I just kept down-shifting.

Now here is the question - I am planning to do a ride for Juvenile Diabetes Cure on September 9th. (Anyone live near Glens Falls, NY??) which is a 25 mile ride. Before my latest surgery, I was doing 16 miles easy, so 25 shouldn't be too much.

Two weeks later the Kingston Hospital Cancer center is doing a ride for the cure which is 50 miles.

I wonder...Can I do these?? I don't see my surgeon again until sept 11th, so I can't even ask him. But maybe that is best.

I mean, the long and short of it is that if it hurts, I get off the bike and into the van. (They always have support vans following to scrape up those that don't make it.)
