Default Need...gym...feeling...strange...

Oh I'm losing it...I need in! Get me a dumbell or something! I can't stand this! I was driving with my daughter the other day, who, being three, said, "I need to go pee-pee on the potty, NOW!" and there was my gym. I pulled in, real fast and got her into the locker room...(we made it) but it broke my heart. Oh - the longing!! The clank of the weights, the smell, the loud music.

I look into the mirror and I see what I need to do - I can see the ab muscles now - I know exactly what I need, even with the swelling, I can tell - obliques on the ball - totally. I am already getting that little crease down my middle - I need the roller ball to really pop those obliques out. OH!! Don't even start me on the lower ab stuff. I never longed for the roman chair before, but now I won't be squeezing my flab everytime I lift my legs up...Flat...Hard... it is in there - just needs to be set free!

My butt is all crazy, but I know, squat machine, glute lifts, lunges with weights - I can fix this. I can make this look good...but no...not yet...have to wait... but....starting to feel....twitchy...

I think I'm grinding my teeth at night. I raised my voice at my son today - I mean - I need the gym! I did this every day! How am I suppose to adjust?? What do I do?? Ask for valume?

I do still have some percocet. Maybe I'll just sleep through the next two weeks.....need.....bench press........have to......feel the burn!!....

(I need a smiley face that twitches and goes berserk!)

grrrrrr....This is a whole body sensation. I need to get back in there.....I'm really feeling strange folks. I had no idea it could get like this. Hey - does that mean this is an addiction? (Who me? addicted to the gym?...go on...)

3 months! #@$% that.

Im sorry and I feel your pain.

But I'm sure I'm not allowed to lie on the floor and kick my feet. It might pull something!

I guess I'll survive, but this feeling is nuts. At least after my bypass they let me walk on the treadmill. But can't even do that till 3 weeks, and still no lifting for another two or three. Lord give me strength!

John - you can bet I'll be asking on Thursday (last drain out) or Tuesday (follow up with surgeon) what I can do. It will only be two weeks this Friday, so I know I have a lot of healing to do inside. I can feel my abs are still like rocks. But maybe thats a good thing - until I overdo it and rip something.

Ugh...

Thank you Marie - as always - you are such an inspiration! I am humbled! Three weeks is really nothing compared to three months - I'd better stop complaining!!

No my fellow gym rat, I am not to do anything physical for three weeks. I have an incision all the way around my body, plus whats on my boobs and I am all stiched up inside, where he tightened my abs to pre-child birth form. The more I do, the more I'll swell up too.

But Marie just put me in my place, very gently I might add, so I am now going to get Zenfully into the whole thing. (That is like Zen Buddism, not like Zen/Laura, though she is another hero of mine who tomorrow will be getting a matching incision.) I'll stop complaining and just heal peacefully.

I hope...
