So, how long of now exercise before we lose our membership

I went skiing and only lasted 2 hours...that's how out of shape I am

And, I have had the best times of my life pursuing my passion and visions of No Child Dies Alone. A week in South Africa puts things in perspective!!!

That sounds like a pretty awesome trip/experience. I'd love to do some stuff like that myself. There is a mission trip this summer out that way in july. I'd love to go but, I fear work and my sis's wedding won't allow that to happen.

Got any pics or info?

make a thread or somthing. I'd love to hear about it.

Default Gym Rats Unite!

Hi Porsh:

Well, I have been lifting and using the machines pretty heavy now for the last month...Got a trainer I work with who's a great, but slightly maniacal dude, so I think I can now officially join the order of Gym Rats! 'Cause my life's changing and I'm now at the point where I feel real crappy if I don't work out...(I am still waiting for insurance clearance but went to my six of six mandatory meetings today and they're sending my stuff to BCBS so I hope I get good news sometime in the next 30 days...But I will do what I gotta do!
Proud to be a GymRat, if y'all will have me!

We are very very proud of to have someone who is still pre-op already working out hiring a trainer and getting a serious head start on a good life. Major kudos need to be given to you sir. Very very well done.

Your # is 91 but, maybe we should just drop the 9 part. haha.

Well, I'm not allowed in the gym for a while. I threw my back out something fierce! I have some exercises given to my new Physical Therapist I will be doing. I'll be seeing her 2x per week for the next three weeks and will then be re-evaluated. argh.
Someone work out for me will you? lol

Hiya folks,
not been on the exercise thread before as I've hardly moved in years!
Was 6 wks post-op on Thursday so on Friday I joined my local sports-centre/gym. On Friday I did a "bums, tums and thighs" class, then sunday had my induction in the gym (they've only got me on the cardio machines so far)
Today.
10 min treadmill
5 min cross-trainer on a hill program
10 min reclining bike
45 min "body-blast" class (never again, have decided I'm not co-ordinated enough for any class that involves using a step!)

Could I have a number please??
