Talking Hula Hoops!!

No, I will never be the next gym rat! However, yesterday at Curves one of the instructors told me I should try Hula Hooping for core strength and abdominals. "Sure", I said. LOL! I haven't done Hula Hooping since I was about 10! Oh my gosh, she showed me how to do it and I was standing there hooping it up to the music! How fun and wow, I can feel it this morning! I'm going out to buy myself a hula hoop today!

Just an idea for any of you non-gym rats like myself to have fun and work that body!

By the way, once again, my name was on the Curves Loser Board as the number one loser in inches & weight combined!

Congrats on the board again. That's a great idea about the hula hoops. I'm going to have to try it. I use to love doing it as a kid. I stopped when I got scared that the hula hoop was not going to be big enough to be able to do it.

Big congrats on making the board again. They didn't put special circumstances next to it this time, did they? They also have a hula hoop workout video available. I am not sure the name of it but I am sure you could google it. How fun. Enjoy your new workout toy.

How fun, a workout video for a hula hoop! I could just see myself now knocking things over in my family room all in the name of fitness!

Yes, they did have *special circumstance written by name again. Oh well, this time there were 2 of us! I need to find out who that other woman is with the *special circumstance by her name too. I don't mind being called a special circumstance anymore...I am special!

Default Hmmmm...hula hoops?

Well, why not? It sounds like it would be an awesome workout! Bellydancing without the veils! Now, what other childhood toy/activity would make a good workout? Jump rope would kill my knees...what about swinging? Pumping the legs- sounds good!

Okay, don't laugh...went to Target and they didn't have any hula hoops except a $29.99 one that actually came with a DVD for a 40 minute workout. Decided I didn't need that, so I went to Walmart and bought a hot pink and gold hoop for $4.87. Already did it for a few minutes today. How fun! Hey, I'll be an expert with it by the time i have my 50's theme party at the end of the month!

They have hula hoops at Target in the toy section. ....with little flashing lights. My daughter got one. The smaller they are, the harder it is. I tried hers..she is 6 and it was kinda hard and then I got the really big one and it was easy and a good work out. Problem I have is I can't do it very long because it hurts my abdomen from all of my plastic (from the hernia stuff). It is a great workout for the abs.

Way to go...
