Default Mohonk Mountain kicks my butt

So I worked out this morning for an hour - all on the elliptical actually because I did upper body yesterday and didn't want to do lower body because I knew I was going on a hike today.

Wow. The first part is called the stairmaster and now I know why. It is only 250 steps but they are rock and uneven and they go around curves and all sorts of craziness. My two friends, who are a bit younger and weigh less than me had to tell me to just go ahead because they couldn't keep up. That shocks me. So I pushed myself and wow - do I feel it now.

But that was just the beginning - next was the overcliff/undercliff trail - about 4.5 miles. We did the whole thing, stairs and all in an hour and 50 minutes. Apparently when they did it without me, it took 2 hours. I'm so proud - but humble - I mean I am REALLY tired and will go soak my poor quads in some nice hot water now.

Now - I have hiking partners. Time to buy new shoes!!

Noice! way to go gina! I hope to do some rock climbing this year and hiking is always fun and a great workout. Kinda funny you're friends not being able to keep up with you but, you prolly have more muscle than they do and you're body is used to working out and theirs may not be quite as developed as you.

Now get that damn info I need women! lol. Hope to talk to you soon.
