Default I'm in shock

I went into the gym today to get a protein shake and the gym owner pulled me aside and asked me if I'd be interested in becoming an instructor.

What the heck! It is for a new class called "Group Active" which is an intro to the gym sort of class. For folks really out of shape or older who need to push themselves, but can't handle the "Group Power" thing. (Which I attend Tuesdays and then suffer for for days)

My first reaction of course was to think "He wants me to do this because I look so fat and out of shape myself??" but he said he thought I'd do really well, because I started in that same place. Thoughy I'd be inspirational.

He will send me to a three day training workshop and then I practice for a few weeks and off I go!

Should I do it? You know, I would get paid too - or at least get a free membership to the gym. ($80.00 per month)

If I don't end up with plastic surgery this summer (a real danger if this darn house doesn't sell) I could be pretty busy!

I think it sounds really cool and you would be an inspiration to all. You are at the gym a lot and I am sure they noticed your determination and loyalty...so I say go for it, if you think you will like it. I am sure it would be really self-rewarding.

Haha OMG thats awesome. We are all becoming trainers. Hell yes you should do it. I've been working with this couple for 4 weeks now and its awesome to truely help people see what they can achieve.

Trust me its a expeirence you want to have. This is freggin awesome. Our entire life's are changing. I say go for it and don't look back. You will indeed be able to help many. Not only that but, the nutition classes and training you get will be helpful in you're own journey.

truely awesome and ironic news. Go for it.

Default I think it's grand...

There are a number of wonderful things about this besides just membership. It will help keep you fit, since you're standing in front of people every week helping them (although you of all people don't need extra motivation!). Plus as a music teacher, you know how to transfer knowledge of something you love, and you also know the incredible heart-lifting sensation of seeing it in a student's eyes when they "get" what you're teaching. I'd say the owner is a very smart feller.

It's a WOW moment if there ever was one!
