Thumbs up

Michelle~

That is awesome.have you ever tried white water rafting? From your post ..it kinda sounds like if you have not tried WWR you did a little while in the kayak.
I have never been WWR but would love to some time.

Glad you went and enjoyed yourself,

V

How fun!!! WWR is a blast too - especially with someone experienced along in the ride

Default Take me!

I have one of those wide model, wimpy, personal kayaks - low performance deal...It has a seat in the front for a small kid (I used to take my son out on a lake when I was only 220-240 and fit in it. ) Reading your post reminds me that I can easily fit in now and I have a brand new kid to take along. Fun is in the future. (Not to mention that I now have the arms to do some damage across a lake)

If you ever want to do a weekend, lake type row - let me know. I'll throw the Kiwi on top of the Outback and be there in a few hours. We can go with or without adorable, curly red headed princess.

Default Duckie! What's next? The Blackstone?

It sounds like a blast! I would have been afraid on a swollen river, but you, my dear, have apparently grown brass ones in the last few months!
Congratulations on an excellent adventure!

white water rafting is the best, come visit me duckie, we are going august long weekend, my family has been camping west of sundre for over forty years, we use to go twice a year, been a couple of years since i went, but will be going this august, everyone is welcome, we take two runs a day, we camp in a big circle with the trailers and tarps close in the circle of tents, it is a blast, white water rafting in the day, bonfire and homemade saunas at night, my cousins have taken their kayaks and even canoes down the rapids, we are all experienced rafters...we even take all the kids on a kiddie run to the bridge, drop them off there, my dad picks them up and the adults go on the rest of the way, its exhilerating and intense and so much fun, i was 6 years old the first time i went, and we used to use rubber dingys , now we use actual rafts
