Default Changing it up - Oh yea

I talked to two of the new trainers at the gym today - Jamal, who I've mentioned, and Nicole. They both agreed that I need to move from body building to performance training. (And no, I have no idea what that is)

I start next Sunday - and I am sure Nicole is going to kick my a$$!!! You should see this woman's biceps...

haha awesome!

I would image they are going to go for light weight lots of rep's high BPM type of workout.

maybe even no resistance at all other than you're own body weight in some area's. It works wonders.

none the less awesome news on you're program change up. Its good to change it up constantly and keep you're body guessing.

Changing it up is always a good thing. I agree she'll probably up your cardio and lessen the actal weight training to tone with lighter and/or body weight. As always...you are an inspiration!!

Actually, she did say that it is more like cardio for your muscles. And she's bringing her bosu ball. That is the half ball thing that sits on the floor. I don't think it will be more cardio - I can't do much more! (An hour on the eliptical two or three times a week, plus the warm ups is plenty for me - and thank god for the I-pod or I'd never make it!)

I've also seen her do upper body stuff while standing on one foot - trains tons of involuntary muslces. She said something about stabilizing muscles...

The long and short of it is, I think...This is going to hurt.

My trainer had me use that bosu ball thingy. Basically I stood on it and did squats while throwing and catching a medicine ball at the wall. I'm extemely clumsy so needless to say I was terrified I was going to fall off the damded thing and break my a**!
