Running isn't gonna happen
So I tried intervals for 15 minutes on Wednesday, really took it slowly. 2 minutes walking, 30-45 seconds running. Today I did two minutes of walking then one minute of running for 25 minutes. I had to stop because I could feel it "starting" in my lower back/hip area. Then, within two hours, I was in real pain. By the time I got to physical therapy at 3:30, I was just crying. So disappointed, so frustrated. I mean - I didn't run for 13 weeks - shouldn't I be healed by now? Well - I'm not in any case. Bob (adorable physical therapist) says I'll bounce back much faster this time - but I am just so upset. If there was something I could DO to make this better... I go back to the orthopedist on Thursday, we'll see what he says.
I am SO heart-broken. I felt so good during those one minute running sessions. I can run MUCH faster than when I stopped 13 weeks ago.
I know this is a small problem to have, but it really gets me down.
I wonder if this extra skin hanging off the front of my body has anything to do with it??

I am so so sorry. I have watched your journey and the passion you have for getting fit is awesome. I hope you heal the rest of the way quickly and get back to the passion of what you love!

dammit.
I'm sooo sorry gina. OMG I don't know what to say. I'm sorry you are having so many troubles with you're body. I understand in you're heart and head you wanna go go go. sometimes our bodies just aren't up to what we want to do mentally. The important thing is you continue to try.
Listen to you're doc's and maybe even see a specialist and see what he has to say about it. Maybe there are some meds or something you can take to really help with the pain.
I'm so very sorry. I know you are truely like me. You love getting in shape and exercising. This will be a very trying time for you yet again. Stay strong and hang in there.
My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry...
Oh, sweetie, I know how much you had your heart set on it. I'm really struggling with what feels like betrayal by this new body--first the knee, then the gall bladder. I've been in the fetal position for a freakin' month, and I feel like flab central. It will come, my dear, you'll get there... I won't tell you not to give up, because I don't think you have the phrase in your vocabulary.
