I too have had really good experience with Curves. I like that I don't have to think about the machines. I just keep doing the circuit and I am done in 30 minutes. I had to wait one month from my surgery to go back and I really missed the ladies. Actually I get measured again today!

Curves does work! After my surgery was postponed last April (and still waiting on a new surgery date!) I was depressed and decided I'd join Curves to help with the depression and disapointment of being so close to my surgery date (3weeks) and being set back til who knows when!?!

Anyway...I joined in May and hung in there til Nov...going five days a week and losing inches but my arthritis specialist told me to stop 'cause I was having so much trouble with my back (deteriorating discs and arthritis). He said to go back after my surgery and try just three days a week for a while.

So yeah...Curves is a great place to go for exercise and feeling comfortable with those around you!
