Here is a link to the store with some of their prices on shoes. If some of you that have shopped for these things before can tell me if the prices are in line with what's normal that would be awesome.

I just bought a pair of "MBT" shoes. Just type in "MBT" in your search. They were pricey but I LOVE them. T

I started running last October and was in the same boat. Some of my co-workers that run quite a bit recommended Nike AirMax - there are a few different models, but I ended up with the 180's - they cost 105 dollars onlne. I have really liked them and will replace these with the same kind. I run about 12-16 miles a week in mine - so hopefully they dont wear out too fast.

One thing to keep in mind is that some shoes correct for how you land on your feet - on the inside or outside - i believe it is called pronation. If you dont need correction and buy shoes that have correction that can cause problems as well. Just an FYI...

So, Ron, have you done your running test yet? I'm curious! I don't think we have anything like that here but I would love it if we did. I couldn't afford to pay that much for the shoes, but I would go there and get the test and get fitted then go buy the shoes somewhere cheap!

I just bought some Asics. They are super comfortable, but I'm not too happy with the build quality on them. The front toe part on one of them is already peeling off. Granted I took them hiking in Sedona, but they should have held up better!

Sorry, I'd have sworn I updated this. Yeah, apparently I bring my left leg/foot in quite a bit and that was causing a lot of distress the way I was planting my foot. They recommended some mizuno shoes. http://www.mizunousa.com/equipment.n...t=mensfootwear

They feel weird on my foot but they certainly do make my knees feel better and I can run pretty much until my lungs give out now. I think they ran me right about 110, which isn't bad.
