PARK HOTEL, BRUGGE, BELGIUM
Please see my entry for this hotel under "Europe". It seems that it is used frequently for Dr. Dillemans patients.

INSTITUTE OF OPTIMUM NUTRITION: 25% discounts for vitamins and supplements etc
I have taken out a membership with the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (Silver level - as I want to consult their library - £24 per annum).
Through them I get a 25% discount on most items at the NUTRI CENTRE, which is worth considering for all your protein shakes, vitamins and other supplements, creams etc!
www.ion.ac.uk
Good luck!

HIGHER NATURE products for skin, joints, organs, protein, vitamins and minerals!
I hope Olivia will allow me to quote from her PM to me: (Thank you Olivia!)
"With regards to the loose skin issues... One of the companies xxx is vitamin and suppliments company. They are called Higher Nature and among their range they have a product called collaflex gold. Its a super high strength collagen when taken oraly swooshes around your blood stream and not only lubricates joints/tendon/muscles but it replaces lost collagen in the skin. IT IS FABULOUS!!!! Its in pill or powder form and is marine based so you are less likely to get any allergies from it. Your body replaces and produces collagen at night so its good to take it then. Their number is 08700660234. They have two or three in-house nutritionists and all the staff are so friendly."
Upon Olivia's advice, I spoke with a nutritionist there and said I am a gastric bypass patient one month out. What about the above product and what else would she recommend in my particular gbp situation?
I have just ordered:
"HIGH FIBRE VITALITY SHAKE" (old name "Get up and Go"). This, she assured me, would, by one glass a day, give me ALL the vitamins and minerals and essential fats that I would require as a post-operative patient!
MSM cream would be useful for the regeneration of skin tone and surface moisture
ULTRATRACE is a total mineral complement which provides the necessary dosage for 70 trace minerals necessary for the cellular function of the organs. This is for the inside mechanisms.
So, now I have ordered for protein, joints, internal cellular functioning and and skin elasticity. I got a 22.5% discount by becoming a member with them (online) and paid a total of £122.84 for over an 8 week supply!
Good luck to you all! I'll report my progress!
Cheers!
Vim

Neat Snack..
I just discovered a lo-cal, lo sugar snack that I like. Our baby is eating these little cereal puffs called "Gerber Graduates." They are crunchy and come in different flavors. You can have 1/2 cup for 25 calories and only 6g carbs. (only 1g of sugar!) I really like the banana ones and the sweet potato ones are just incredible! They really satisfy my need for something crunchy during the day! They have different flavors and you find them in the baby food aisle. I ate baby food during the pureed stage...why not continue it now? Also, they break down very quickly so they won't bother the pouch! (To prevent toddlers from choking on them...)

Thanks Mike!
And thanks for posting on our! "Europe" miscellaneous section! Yes, Gerber is a fine company and I fed their products to my babies, over 20 years ago... I too eat baby foods (for 7 months) and keep 2 jar in the car in case I get caught out whilst travelling or feeling less well. Thanks for the tip and recommendation!
Cheers!

Hi Vim. I highly recommend the book "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies". It's probably available in Europe...I ordered mine from Amazon.com. This is a great book, written in a non-technical style. I think it should be required reading for anyone planning on having WLS.

Thank you Sherry!
This is in fact a thread I set up "ages" ago but which got "revived" "thanks" to a spammer, whom I have reported.
Miraculously too, John Callery has also kindly removed the irritating spam, so we have a seemless thread!
Yes, great book, available in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, easily through Amazon or a bookstore.
Cheers,
Vim

Lol, I didn't notice this was such an old post. Oh well, the spammer was good for something, huh?
