Default I'm so excited for that part!

Maybe I'm nuts, but I can't wait to get into the gym right away, so everyone will look at me! Because I am going to be the amazing, melting woman! You will see a lot of the same people at the gym if you go everyday at the same time, and they will notice! I had trainers of other gym members walk up to me (when I was losing my 10%) and say, "Boy - you're here every day - you are really dedicated and I can see the difference!" I lost like, 20 pounds over a 4 moth period - can you imagine when I lose 60 pounds in 4 months??

Every day, every minute, we are in the process of our lives. Sometimes there is joy in letting others see your success! You don't have to be there now, you have to be moving toward your best self, and you are!

You go girl!!

Sara..I know how you feel. The key to getting me back into going to the gym again, was as someone else has said, get a workout partner. Then plan the days and times you will go. I find that I need that other person there to keep me going to the gym, otherwise I flake out and say I'll just take a walk or something at home. Which inevitably I never follow through on.
Keep up the positive outlook, you will be looking awesome in that bathing suit in no time!

Exercising in front of others, let alone in a bathing suit is daunting. I started water aerobics 2 weeks post op and it was a great transition to land when I was ready.

1. F#$% the people who would think or say anything
2. Maybe your hospital has a rehab center with a pool for open swim that would even be covered by insurance and the population there isn't judgemental.
3. You do what you need to do. Take the next 6 months as yours and don't compromise your goals. It is not being selfish, it is taking care of yourself so you can then take care of everything else. REmember that every time someone wants you to do something that may make you miss a day or exercise!!!

Good luck and splash it up.

For me I like Curves because there are more overweight people there and only women. I work at a pool and we see a wide variety of people in a variety of sizes. Sometimes the skinny people are more self consicous that those a little heavier. Remember, once you are in the water, nobody sees you. Its the dash to the dressing room or the walk across the deck to the hottub that can be the worst. As a lifeguard who was over 300lbs, I know people talked about me....but I am not doing this for them...I do it for me.

Hold your head up high girl, take the walk...you will come out on the winning side - smaller and more fit!
