Default Your are not alone

Even after surgery you still have your battles. My current and everflowing battle is with my mother. Last night I was at the breaking point. If Karen hadn't answered her phone.. I don't know what would have happened to me. Karen I can't thank you enough for being there for me.. I really needed you and once again you came through for me..

So Jenna,
If you have doubts about how much these people really care, don't. We are here for each other through thick and thin. It's like I have this whole new family here and I just can't begin to thank everyone for all of the support I have received.

Default Thanks

Well, we had our first session last night with our marraige counselor. It was ok, he talked to us together, then me alone, then hubby alone, then together again. He gave us homework, to get Dr Phils book Relationship Rescue. And to make a list of what we bring that is positive to the relationship and what we do that contributes to the problems. We are going to see him again on Monday. I feel so relieved, that we have help to get through this, cuz we were making a mess of it on our own.
Thanks to you guys, you helped me get the courage to do something and make that call to get help. I don't feel so alone. So today I am hopeful. It also helps that my period is almost over LOL. I get scary with pms. I swear sometimes its like the b*tch switch gets flipped. OK on with my day. I love you guys, thanks again.

Smile Wonderful News

And see your Husband is on board with you. He obviously loves you and wants to make it work as well. A lot of husbands would shriek at the idea of marriage counseling.. so feel lucky.. you've obviously got a good one! Hopefully you will get all your homework done and have a great session on Monday. I think it's wonderful that you are doing this. It is better to start now and be in a healthy relationship before you have surgery. Your kids will benefit from this as well..

Good luck to you.. our thoughts are with you..

I was sure I was going to get commited when I had my moment of breakdown. You work through it with the support of people here and some professional assistance.

Jenna,
I totally understand how you feel, I am so glad that your husband is going to counseling with you. I am in the process of getting divorced now, when counseling was brought up, he wasnt interested...and I think that if I HAD NOT had this surgery that I would have completely lost it.. I also was a stay at home mom for 5 years, and FINALLY got a little part time job ( nothing big, but will do for now) and at all the interviews I knew that my weight wasnt the reason I didnt get the job. I still have about 30 pounds to go until I reach my goal , and I still have self esteem and self worth issues ( once i start getting a paycheck i can go back to the counselor) but not like I would have had I NOT had this surgery. You have little ones, you have to be strong for them!! Good Luck to you and your hubby!!

Talking its all good

As I lay in bed with my laptop and read through the threads of this posting, it's so clear that the love REALLY is there. I was going to send a message to Jenna to let her know I understood some of those issues, but I got beaten to the punch by about 20 other good souls.

Like some of us, I have issues with trust, and have been a little reticent to share my deep squishy stuff, but I'm starting to believe that even though only one of you (in the collective sense) knows me--Bridget knows me, but then Bridget knows everyone!!!

Do you all get together physically every now and again so you can talk in person? That would be a cool thing.

Hang in there Jenna, looks like you have a hundred hands holding you up. You can't fall too far with them, and they are ready to raise you up in strength and pride. What more could anyone want?

Yes we all get together every now and again.. okay often! I love my stapler sisters, like my vitamins gotta have 'em!

Jenna is doing okay, I have talked with her over the phone. She doesnt have a computer anymore, but when she does have access she jumps on!
Her and her hubby have split and she is living with a girlfriend and has a new boyfriend. So far, she appears to be doing well emotionally! She is down to 160 and wears a size 8! Its amazing...... just wanted y'all to have the update since she has been MIA for awhile!

Bridget,

Thanks for the update on Jenna. I've been worried about her but had no way to contact her. I've left private messages, but didn't realize that she was without a computer. I'm glad she's doing ok.
