Smile Things are so different now...

It s funny beacuse before my surgery I felt like I never had enough time to accomplish things in my life... I mean right down to cleaning, but right now I have this sense of calm over my life and it feels great! Sometimes I felt like I didnt even have enough time for my own kids... well my how times have changed! Over the past 4 weeks, not only can I have enough time for my family, cleaning, etc., i have "adopted" a parakeet, a hamster and a dog.... one of my dearest friends was laughting at me, because I was NEVER a "pet" person... she asked me if now, since surgery, if I feel like I am able to take on more.... I never thought about it until she asked me this weekend... and you know what, I feel like I can, and I know I can... its great! I just wanted to share and see if you guys have noticed these mild or not so mild changes as well? I know Stacie is a decorating fool these days... from her apartment to cakes...... I just wanted to hear other folks stories if you have them as well... talk to you soon!

Smile Changes

Bridget,

The only thing I really noticed is that I seem to be busier then I was pre-operatively. I don't watch TV so much and I seem to have the social life that I lost many years ago due to my own self confidence being destroyed by my weight. This weekend Stuart and I attended two dinner parties. One last night and the other on Saturday night. Saturday nights was ok but caused some social anxiety for me which caused an arguement for us.. which wasn't good. Last night was wonderful. We went to the house of one of the Doctors he works with and although I still felt a bit out of place, I realized I really had to work on my socialization skills again if I am going to be the wife of a Doctor. I will be expected to not only host but attend such events on a regular basis. So I will work on those things and hope that in the meantime he can find a way to understand my feelings.

Smile Thanks Bridge

Sorry for the post hijack...

Anyway I know a lot of it has to do with my confidence level. Last night was fine, I interacted well I feel.. for me anyway. I felt I actually had something to contribute to conversations and had a lot of fun. The PR is important.. and that is why I must start that now.. as it is important for him and his future career.. ya know?? So I am trying and I will work on ME more and focus less on others for a while..
