Default Emotionally spent

My daugther has seizure disorder. She has returned to school after being put of homebound to try to get her seizure more under control. Meeting with school officials is exasperating even when they are trying to be helpful. Anywho I have been having to stay at school in case she has a seizure. She had 1 small one since she went back. But the guys who supposedly knew how to handle seizures weren't doing so when I got there. So, I got the school nurse on the phone. She is not in the school full time but goes between schools. Anywho, we had another M team meeting. The main county nurse came to clarify things. I walked out of the meeting with Kimberly a full time nurse until further notice. I'm loving it. But, Kimmy is tired of being scared. Tired of the attention. Tired of the seizures and the headaches after. Tired of being different. And not sure she wants mommy not to be there i.e. the nurse is there not me. ME, I'm just tired, and without my comfort food at 3 months out! Going to school tomorrow too until the nurse can be set up. I'm taking food. School food is not ameniable to WLS. Thanks for letting me vent. You guys are the greatest.

Beth,
I'm sorry to hear your daughter has been going through so much, not to mention what it's doing to you! I'm glad to hear you're bringing your own food, and thank goodness they've got a nurse with your daughter full time from now on.

Default Rhanks guys

I just needed to vent. And I did. Thanks for caring. One good thing I have plenty of time to walk at the school track until the nurse is arranged.

It is difficult to keep the strenght and spirit up when you have stress added to your healing process. It would be nice if all our stressors just went away for awhile until we're healed. You will work it out and get back to a routine again.

Beth you are an amazing lady for having the strength to deal with a child that has a disorder like this, and we all respect you for that! My stepsister's friend dealt with this same severe disorder all through childhood and adolescence but managed to finish law school! As an adult she still has problems but has managed to accept it as best she can.

Tell Kimmy that she's a strong girl that other people, even adults, admire for her will and that all of us are thinking about her!
