My life sucks right now...
Well that dream job I was so hyped up about has ended with my being let go. And did they have a reason?? HELL NO!! It's a damn soap opera there and I got caught in the middle between my best friend (the guy who got me the job) and my boss (the one who fired me). The man gave me NO REASON other than the feedback he was getting from the driver's who trained me was that I wasn't catching on as quickly as they wanted me to. (Which is BULL too, cause the three guys I rode with all said I was doing "GREAT" and driving better than them.) Well who the heck can catch on when no one is teaching me anything?? And if I wasn't doing as well as they thought I should be, why did they let me go driving by myself on Friday?? I could have killed someone, or hit something, or wrecked, but did I?? NO!!! AND to top it all off...I know for a fact that some of their drivers are not as clean as they claim to be. I am 99.9% sure that I was let go because of the boss' personal problems with my friend. And what really sucks is that California is an "At Will" state and I can't do anything to fight them on this. (NOT that I'd really want to after being told I'm a piece of $hit, basically.)
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

Sounds horrible!
What an awful experience for you! I'm sorry that this has happened - the only thing I can think to say is that sometimes things work out for the best. You probably didn't want to keep working for that jerk anyway, but I know that being let go is certainly a difficult thing to go through.
I wish you luck in your new job search - I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find something that makes you really happy.

Brenda,
I know this doesn't make much sense right now, but I've seen it happen over and over again, with myself included, once one door closes, another one opens. Barbara is right, it was not meant for you to work there any longer than you did. I hope you can be open to new opportunities and I hope they come soon!

Doors opening...
Well today doesn't seem as bad as yesterday (despite the fact that I haven't found anything yet). I have put in a few applications and have been talking to a few people. Have a drive test tomorrow (cross your fingers) and hopefully that'll work out alright. I've driven that type of truck before, so I'm not really worried. I just hope that the freaks that let me go won't give me a bad reference. I just need a job! If anyone knows any local trucking companies that need drivers, please feel free to e-mail me thier information.
I'll update again soon. Thanks for the support!

Brenda,
What kind of truck do you drive? I have a friend who works for Corovan as a Class A driver and he likes his job alot. Let me know and I would be happy to ask him. Good luck with your searching until then!

Hey Brenda
How are things going for you at the new job? I just wanted to touch base with you and see how you are holding up... how are the girls? How are you? When I get back we should take the kids and go hang out... the beach or park or something... let me know if you are game. Take care.
