Bridget...

If you want marriage and he doesn't believe in marriage there could be furture resentments on both sides unless his beliefs change. Those not willing to commit to marriage aren't willing to commit period - and that always gives then the easy way out. I know you are madly in love with him, but love is a verb, not a gooey feeling. People fall in and out of love everyday, but true love is like a well woven rope of many strands and cannot be broken no matter the circumstances.

I will be praying that you will follow your heart and do the right thing. I know I just joined, but I agree with everyone else here that we're your firends and are here to support you no matter the decision you make. So, with that, I send you a giant hug :-)

Bridget
I'm so happy for you. I really hope things work out the way you want because as much as you are here for everyone I want there to be someone to make you happier than you ever thought you could be. I think that Jeanie is right I think he is coming around to see what he maybe walking away from. Some men want the best of both worlds and when they can't have it or we won't let them have it they seem to open their eyes. Wishing you all the best.

Default There Is Hope Always

Well I see a lot of us are having problems all over the place.. Hey as much as we love the men we are sometimes involved with they either don't love us enough back or are on a differnt mission and hope that we will remain frozen while they get their act together. It doesn't work like that. We need compassion, caring someone who is going to be there in the great high momemts and not no so great ones.

Mine didn't quite past the test. He thought dropping me off at the hospital, picking me up and dumping me at home sufficed for caring. While he went back to his work assignments!!! Great it's not like I get to see all this great money coming in!!!! (we don't live toghether).

This is when I really realize having a support team is most important.

Dee,
I'm sorry your man treated you that way. Mine has a very hard time dealing with illness and injuries. He went back to work as quickly as he could, though not as quickly as yours did. We're here for you, and I'm sending a big cyber hug to you.

Default Men To Have & 2 Have Not

Well the verdict is still out on mine, He's taking baby steps, but the more I get intot the timeline of this procdure the more I am learning even about my self. Let no one kid you, having this procedure is NOT the easy way out. I see earlier on how it is affecting my day-2-day life, work, social events. Right now I'm just more apt to go run for home more than I was before the surgery, go figure!

Again I trust this is a temporary phase, that I know I could get through better if my man was more around than less.

I keep hope alive, nothing that nothing woth having will come easy.

Learning about yourself is a big issue with this surgery. Now that I can't just swallow down my feelings with a big gulp or ice cream, I have to learn how to deal with them. It's scary, but worth it.
