Lightbulb Clothing Donations

I know this is off topic for thinnertimes but it is needed. I know there is always a clothing exchange going on here on this board. There are Katrina Victims who need plus size clothing. People are starting over and need professional attire, just plus size clothing period. If anyone is intrested in donating any clothing Please e-mail me. I am not asking for any money just clothing. I am willing to pay out of my own pocket to send the clothing all the way to Texas. I know a lot of us have clothing just in our closet we are not using or no longer able to fit any more. I am even willing to come pick them up from wherever. If anyone has any suggestions where we could hold a clothing drive please let me know. I am up for any suggestion. I just can't sit and not do nothing, I apologize if I have offended anyone with this post.
I can't give much but I can at least give away clothes I can't fit anymore to people who are in need. If anyone wants information where they can send items, Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Great idea! I gave a lot away already but I'm out of my 18's and 16's now. It's mostly summer stuff but I have a few pairs of pants and a couple of long sleeve shirts. You've got mail!

Since I used to live in SD, I can contact a friend at a downtown lawfirm and see if they are doing anything of this sort for the Katrina survivors.... Let me know if you are open to this. You can e-mail me at lushlipslisaq@msn.com

Thumbs up Denise...

Denise,
I have BAGS of clothes that are too big for me, I wanted to make sure they went some where for the people who are suffering the rages of Katrina, but not sure where I could take them, I just knew that I wanted them to all go there rather than to another clothing exchange this time... Those people down there need them more...
I lived in the south for 30 years, and my son went through 3 of the 4 hurricanes in Florida last year with only $5000 in damages, the Lord surely took care of him through those, and this would only be a drop in the bucket, but, a mother's way of saying "thank you Father"....
Just let me know....

Bless you dear heart~

Thank you Ladies for responding. It feels great to know even people here in California are so willing to help. Every little bit helps.

Hopefully if Lisa gets in contact with her friend maybe we will have a drop off spot for the clothing. If not I am more then willing to pick up. I will ship all of it off at the end of the week so I can send it all off at the same time. Thanks.

Denise,
I found out that Horizan Christian Fellowship is collecting clothing for the victims of Katrina. Maybe we can get the clothes to them and you wouldn't have to pay for shipping.
