Default Need Recipes, ideas for day 15- 30

I had my surgery on 10-14. I am down about 19 lbs. But I am tired of Mashed potatoes, ceam soup, tuna, and cottage cheese, etc. I pureed some green beans for a change. But any other ideas? I tried to shred up chicken but it keeps getting stuck, so I went back to tuna and scrambled eggs.

Mary -

Down 19 lbs in 19 days.

A favorite for me at this stage was some low fat ricotta cheese, with some marinara sauce spooned over it and a little shredded reduced fat mozzarella on top. Put it in the microwave for about 45 seconds just to warm it through and melt the cheese. Soo good!

Yep, ricotta cheese with marinara sauce is great.

I also liked fat free refried beans with a little taco sauce and shredded cheddar cheese on it.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far, Mary. I also had my surgery on 10/20. Isn`t it difficult to know what to eat at this stage though? I still eat a lot of soup and yoghurt, especially the low fat greek ones and honey. If you can tolerate fruits, smoothies are great too. I enjoy about 3 200mls of hot semi-skimmed milk with coffee or chocolate daily as well. Scrambled egg is also very good at this stage but my surgeon advises that you keep to 2-3 eggs a week. I also "pureefy" any of my favorite meals apart from the "banned food types".
Do you get hungry at all? I had the GB and I`m never hungry. I try very hard to eat thrice a day though. Hope this helps.

this sounds like the No-noodles lasagna recipe I found in the recipe section. I'm gonna try it tomorrow!

i haven't had my surgery yet but i bookmarked her blog the second i checked it out!

miladyB also posted some menu plans that she got from her nutritionist that i saw a little while ago. they're here: Surgeon's Updated Menu Plans

i am so freaked about getting done with the surgery and then having no idea what to do that i am bookmarking all sorts of sites, and have a growing list of my "favorite posts" saved to my account on here that i can refer to.

congratulations on your weight loss, it sounds like you are doing awesome!
