Default kicking myself

Stupid, stupid, stupid....I missed my nutritionist this month and now I have to start the 6 month pre-op diet all over again (I had 3 consecutive months). I'm really kicking myself about it because I'm the one who arrogantly thought that I could get an appointment at the last minute. I thought to myself, "Who wants an appointment at 8am on a Friday?" Well obviously someone else does too. Anyway, nothing I can about it now. Maybe it's for the best considering that I'm on the fence about the surgery anyway. Maybe I need that extra time to decide if gastric bypass is the best option for me. Okay, slowly regaining perspective here. Oh and I'm remembering to breathe too. Venting has now concluded. Thanks for listening. <big sigh>

Hi, It sounds as though we are similar. I had my GB 1 1/2 weeks ago, and we are close in age and same weight. I regretted going so drastic right after I did it. I am still on the fence about if I did the right thing. I encourage you to read al the good and all the bad before deciding. You should do a search for gastric bypass complications on the web....there is soooo much out there.

About your nutritionis. Can't you go in, get weighed by the office staff and schedule a phone consultation for the month. You can email her your food diary in advance for the month and then have the phone call. There really shouldn't be anything that she needs to see you in person on except weighing in.

Good Luck

You have such a good attitude! 3 months won't make a bit of difference in the long run, but, again, you have a great attitude. That being said, this is a very life altering surgery, and I congratulate you for taking it so seriously. I wouldn't change it for the world, for me, this has saved my life, but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. Good luck in your journey, we're here if you need us!
