hopefully it IS just gas, but i have to repeat the gallbladder question. are you sure there's no way that's what it was?

i had gallbladder issues after i had my first daughter. it was AWFUL pain. i'm talking nausea from pain and doubled over crying. i went to the ER a handful of times before they finally figured out what the problem was. once i even had a doctor tell me i was just constipated!

well, FINALLY, one of the doctors had the sense to check my gallbladder. BINGO! when they did the ultrasound on it, he said it was full of little gallstones.

i had it removed, and my surgeon said it was good they finally caught it when they did, b/c i had a gallstone that had gotten lodged and would have lead to...something i can't remember the name of, but it wasn't good. LOL

here's hoping you continue to feel better!

Hello, I'm pre-op and gas pain after surgery is one of the main things that I'm worried about. I've experienced this before and remember how bad it was for me. I think moving about as much as you can may help.

I agree with those suggesting you push harder for some testing, if this happens again. Doubled over in pain gas, three months out is not normal.

And if it is gas, I'd be pushing really hard for an explaination on why only 1 gas-x and only if it's severe? Did you at least buy the maximum strength? That seems like a randomly strict rule which I've never seen anyone mention in the past- my doctor has me taking it 'as needed'.. I don't take it for pain but I do have to take it when I'm out and about as I'm quite farty these days and it'd be embarrassing without them. I buy it at the warehouse stores in bulk.

So I'm curious now why the restriction? Is your doc being too conservative or mine too blase'?

Why not the gas-x strips, which melt on your tongue so there is no chewing involved? (and the dose there is three strips, not one, fyi)

The gallbladder question was the first thing that came to my mind too.

What kind of pain are you talking about? Can you pinpoint exactly where it is? Intestinal or higher up?

When I had my attacks, I remember I couldn't pinpoint where the pain was coming from, it just radiated everywhere. There was no position I could get into that would relieve it, and it would last for hours. It made me feel overheated and nauseated.

Do you still have your gb?
