Welcome to TT hun. And grats on almost being past hell week.
It will pass. It's mostly your head messing with you at this point. I was licking Doritos like 5 days post op because I wanted to eat something, anything so badly.
My DH is one of those (insert skinny bastard who eats enough for a small village here) so I can totally relate. Watching him eat the first 2 weeks after my surgery drove me so crazy it's a wonder I did not end up in jail lol.
It gets better, keep sipping your fluids as much as you can, sugar free popsicles were my best friend during this stage. Try and walk anytime you feel hungry, read, watch a movie anything to help take your mind off it.
You will see sooner than later food will be that last thing you want for a while.

What are you allowed to have right now? I assume you can have sugar free popsicles. Try those, that helped me a lot. Can you do protein shakes yet? Protein will help fill you up a bit, although it's not the same as eating a meal, I know. What about jello? You can even sort of chew it.

Just accept it and get used to it. It is our way of life now as post oppers.
The first month is the worst.

I don't think feeling hungry is a way of life post-op. Maybe it is for you. It's sure not for me. I seldom feel hungry. I mean, I get hungry if I haven't eaten for a while, but then I eat again. I do not go around feeling hungry. I don't see any reason to.

The head hunger is the worse. I had it really bad once I got home and saw my family eating. It did pass after the first week or so and now when I think I am hungry I will drink some water then wait 30 mins and if I still feel hungry then I will grab something to nibble on. At the two week stage sugar free pop were awesome and sf jello.
Hang in there!

Welcome fellow Tennessean! Like the others said SF popsicles were great at that stage. I also ate quite a bit of SF pudding. It helped with my chocolate craving. Good luck!

It's called head hunger. When you haven't eaten foods or had any liquids in a few days THAT is hunger.
That being said, I have real hunger more often than not. Its quality of food over quantity of food I order. I'm not gonna have 2 crap-ass protein shaje Also if i want a cookie, i'm going to have ONE cookie. It won't deprive myself of things, and I know i'm not going to raid the fridge.
Also, when I go out I don't worry about COST, i worry about quality. I'd rather have a quality meal over a BIG meal

Did I say anyone, myself including was starving? Ummm no, not sure where that came from. I was referring to the HEAD hunger she was speaking of. And I did go back and re-read to make sure I did see the words head hunger. Yep they are there. So not really sure where this came from Kelly but whatever.
