We allow venting here. Actually this is my place to vent, yell, cry & scream... because i know someone else here will prob have the same frustration or i feel like i'm helping someone else who doesn't speak out.

Xanax works wonders too, just sayin.

She gave me little specimin cups. I don't know about you but once I start peeing I don't have time for switching little cups whilst I wee-wee nor do I have the equipment to just pee in the OJ container. And now thanks to this container, I think that I may never want orange juice again!
OMG... lol

Thanks for the encouragement. It means a lot. I just get a little overwhelmed sometimes, okay a lot of times. I know that what I am doing is the right thing, I know that I can and am doing it, I know that there are times when it is going to be difficult and I know that usually the difficult things are the ones that are best for me. Having said that, on weeks like this I feel like sitting down with a big ol bucket of ice cream with a giant dark chocolate candy bar (cuz ya gotta have something to scoop the ice cream out with) and spend the entire day in my pjs. Again having said that, that isn't the person that I am or want to be anymore so instead I will just rant for a few minutes on here and then go take a walk.

Do that post-op and you will be hugging the toilet wishing death on yourself. I guarantee you this. Trust me i've eaten stuff i shouldn't and I am like "OH MY GOD I WANNA DIEEEEEE". It's worth going through hell post-op to teach ur body good from bad.

I am so proud of you for quitting smoking. I know that it's hard to stay positive when so many things are going wrong. Look at what you are doing for yourself you're doing what most people are unable to do. Keep your head up things will get better. Lisa

SMOKING! I have just recently quit. My Dr. said he wanted me to quit 30 days before surgery. So I finally got in the right mindset and it's been a week now. CRAVINGS are hard especially when something gets my heart rate up. Someone told me that the craving to smoke was going to go away wheather I smoked or not. I try to remember this when my cravings get intense. Who knew? Withdrawals from nicotine make you crave more! So evil...lol

My mom hasn't smoked in 10+ years but she says when she gets really upset or stressed, she still thinks about doing it. She just remembers that her body won't like it now and it will probably make her sick. Kinda like we are after surgery! Hang in there. I know it's tough but it's well worth it!!

Question Kidney disease and WLS

Some days are just better than others. I was re-reading this post and I thought holy crap no wonder I was totally in a funk, it was a rough week for me. I again am having a rough week. I had an appointment this week to go over my test results. It seems as though my kidneys and parathyroid have joined the other parts of me in the revolt against my body. I have been recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Kidney Disease. Does anyone know anything about WLS and kidney disease? I have been looking for any posts but haven't found anything helpful yet. I want to know if this is going to stop me from having surgery or if it is just one more reason that this is the best step for me. Some help would be greatly appreciate.
