On the contrary, you are so not a liar - you are being true to YOURSELF. This is a very personal journey. Don't expect others to understand it. It is very unique.

Over time, as I told people who asked me how I lost the weight (I told very few at the beginning), I smiled, told them the truth, and then changed the subject. I didn't need or want their opinion about my journey. It is too big to explain, and doesn't require explanation to anyone.

Now. 2.5 years out, my journey continues, and people don't understad that either. But who cares. It' s our journey, nobody else's. NOBODY else's!
