Angry If I hear this one more time.....

If I have to hear one more person tell me they know a friend of a friend who has a cousin, uncle, auntie that died from GB, I'm am going to SNAP and no I don't mean sniper on the roof, I mean I going to use some curse words they momma didn't know existed!!!!

I know what I'm doing, I'm grown and in my right mind (well sometimes )!!! Stop telling me how I don't need surgery all I have to do is eat right and workout ummm....ya think???? I just stop telling people what I'm doing and let them think whatever the hell they wanna when I get back to work and the weight starts to drop off!!! And knowing these people their first thought will be that I must be sick or something!!! I had a guy actually say he was mad because I'm having surgery, most of them say "Oh you don't need to lose weight you look fine just the way you are" Its not about "looks" SHIT I know I'm pretty and hot!!! But am I healthy HELLLL NO!!! Not at 32 with high BP, knee and back pains!!! (although I could solve that if I stay off them LMAO) J/K!!!

You know when you talk to people you would like them to offer a little support not badger you for doing something SMART!!!! I don't know I just wanted to vent!!!

Thanks for reading!!!!

Unless they're fat....they truly won't know how HARD it is to diet and actually keep the weight off. Imagine a crackhead being surrounded by drugs 24/7. Do you really think the crackhead will stay clean? Hell no!

The thing with food is, we NEED it to survive and so it's gonna be around all the time. That's my downfall.....I can stick to a diet and do good for a couple months, then I'll have a handful of doritos, cause they're sitting in front of me...that handful turns into the bagfull and then before I know it i'm back to square one. I know the surgery will be successful because it's the last resort option. It's a tool and it'll HELP us succeed.....sorry i am rambling, lmao.

I very carefully chose who I told before I had it done. Afterwards, many people asked me why didn't I tell them. Here was my reply: "Because I didn't want a bunch of uneducated, uninformed Buffoons giving me their unasked for advice." Shut them up pretty quick.

I know it's frustrating. You can always tell them you know many people who had the surgery and are now much healthier and happier. 'Cause you do know lots of people, here are TT. Or you can tell 'em about someone you know who died from obesity-related complications. Or you can just tell 'em to shut up.

Ah, those people who know EVERYTHING!!! They are so flipping annoying!!!

Hang on girl! Thick skin - remember? We all need it pre-op as well as post-op!

I am sure people who keep telling you that they know son-of-the-brother-in-law-siter's-neibour-ancle who died have absolutely NO CLUE about WLS. Unfortunately I feel that explaining yourself to everyone is pointless. Unless person had struggled with weight, he or she would have no clue how it is for us.

Yes, surgery is controversial and there are risks associated with it. But you risk much more if you don't loose weight!

Remember, in short 12 months post-op all those know-what's-best-for-you people will be first to tell you that WLS was the best thing you've done! You simply can't argue with results ...

Stay strong, you know what you need and how to get it! And we are always here for you

That is a good one

I love when people just burst into advise about something they have NO CLUE about ... Isn't it amazing to me? Seriously!!??

Everyone of you are right!!! They all have the answers....Well I should just save my $3400.00 and let these not-so-skinny people tell me how its done!!!

And why is it always the obese people that are trying to tell me how to lose weight?? One day I couldn't take it anymore! This guy who is always telling me how to lose weight and keep in mind he's about 100lbs overweight himself, starts telling me to eat salad and go walking and blah blah blah!!! So I looked at him with my evil eye and said "Oh yeah cuz it worked soooo well for you, right?" And it was on from there we went back and forth mind you I can only hold it in for so long and I flew off the VERY DEEP END!!!! Well I shut him up and he's still overweight, cuz he eats salads and goes for walks daily!!!! LMAO!!! SOME PEOPLE!!!

I have gotten unsolicited advice from so many people my whole life, it seems. I know what you mean about having enough and flying off the deep end. Hang in there! Your healthier life begins soon.

It was the same thing 2.5 years ago. Therefore, I just didn't say much. And when I heard the rumors and innuendo and downright falsehoods I changed the subject. I wasn't going to get into a pissing contest with people who are and were ill-informed. Don't lower yourself, and don't waste your time and energy on it. It is human nature, and not the best, at that.
