Skip the pickle, unless your doctor says you can have it, and I'm betting he (or she) won't. I know the liquid diet sucks. You can make it through it. Not everyone has to do a liquid diet before surgery, but most of us had to do it. Or will have to do it. I only had to do it for five days, so it wasn't so bad, but I would have done anything I had to in order to get the surgery. Stay focused on the end point.

Default Day 5

Day 5 of my liquid diet. IT STILL SUCKS...but did skip the pickle. Done too well to give up now. I am 15 pounds down so I have made the docs goal and I do feel a little difference. I know this is only a little sample of what is to come. I just wish I could have one sensible meal and the rest liquids. I am sure I would feel better. I am SO WEAK on this liquid thing. It's all worth it, I am sure. Someone mentioned to give up caffine. Why? Doc said I wouldn't have to. Only for about 2 weeks then I could drink coffee again. No more diet soda, which will be hard. But I am so happy I have the coffee to drink. Helps me get up and go to work and then to come home and take care of my smart, beautiful, sweet 14 month old. Thanks to all 9 days to go! Will it start going faster? Can't wait to be done with this liquid! Weigh in is tomorrow

Default Thanks to all

hello everyone...6 days until surgery and I already have lost 18 pounds on this pre-surgery diet. I TOTALLY notice the difference. I am soooo excited on how good I am going to feel. To actually be able to put on shoes without hurting...I can't wait. I went to the doc for my PREPARE appontment and my EKG was abnormal it turns out they believe it was due to my liquid diet. Thanks all for the support but I know am allowed veggies! Yippee!! Veggies have never been so good and I am still losing. I do feel SO MUCH better with even just a few green beans etc......I am getting nervous but I am sure I will be alright. Thanks everyone.
