I had the stabbing left pain constantly for a few days once I got home. I asked my doctor's nurse about it and she said it was totally normal and it was because most of the work done was initiated on the left side. She said it could go on for a few months yet as everything inside is still healing. I am two and a half months out and I will still (very occasionally) get some left side stabbing. In fact, I had that just last night and hadn't noticed it in over a week prior to that. Went to bed with the pain, woke up without it. It DOES get better...hang in there.

Yup, I agree that it's probably muscular. But take it easy on it -- I did too much, and actually *tore* that muscle about a week post-op.

Trying so hard to get back on track, face that I can't do it alone, stop beating myself up for my failings... UPDATE: Well, after the 7 lb. drop last week, this week I didn't lose *anything*. Didn't gain, but it's discouraging.

Thanks so much everyone! I woke up crying this morning so I called Dr. C and went to see Kelly the PA and she said it was the muscle it is inflamed and pulling on the stitches she told me to take motrin in combo with my lortab for only two days to try to get the swelling down and it definately is helping! I know motrin is not allowed unless the dr tells you to so I didnt want to do anything with out seeing them. Still cant stand up straight but at least I am on my way to getting better Thanks for all of your support!
