It has become maddening. This has been happening a lot: a post is made stating that she is near death then... nothing! We are left wondering and worrying with no information as to her progress (or lack of... poor thing!).
People care about Julie and her health. It is difficult for people to just sit and worry without information. More frequent updates would be greatly appreciated. We realize there may be no new information but an update of any sort would be helpful. I am not trying to be a bitch, just voicing my frustration and worry.

Prayers going out this morning.... right after I post this actually.
I have been away from this place lately, because of the direction some of the threads go, and the ignorant comments that are made, all hidden behind the flat text of your monitor, and its no wonder why so many people leave this place, (most of the "oldies"), because its just the typical, a few good posts, and then the bullshit starts, that said, I read back on one thread, and some pretty negative comments were posted, Im sure Julie read these, and will more than likely chooses to avoid the place.

After reading some of the bullshit, from obvious idiots, my advise to Laura would be to not post any updated on Julie, and keep it o PM's from the people that are interested in her progress, (or lack there of!!)

Anyone can feel free to PM me if you would like to know what I know!!

I could go back and quote some of the comments, from of them from people that experienced the same situation that Julie is facing, but it truthfully isnt worth my time, and lowering myself to the levels of the few just aint right!!

Rant over...

I know what you are alluding to, and frankly you are entitled to it. The issue isn't whether she is sick or not. The issue is, people ACTUALLY care about this woman and it like half-assed responses, no responses, or like before the RANDOM closing of a thread... with no explanation. It raises a lot of red flags from a reality standpoint.

I stand by that I wish her the best of luck with all this, i really honestly do. I couldn't make it being in her shoes. I just wish the updates were a little better, or not closed at random.

Baja,
I honestly don't give a crap if you like my post or not. I am merely stating that people DO F*CKING CARE. It is absolutely frightening, confusing and frustrating when a post is made regarding one of our members being so sick and then having no follow up whatsoever. The fact that the previous thread was closed indeed did put up a red flag. My first thought was OMG... did julie DIE?!?!?!
Frequent updates would put a lot of minds at ease. All of our minds actually.
Again, call me bitch. I'm just stating what I KNOW FOR A FACT many people are thinking and wishing for.

Oh, and as for PMing for information, there many newbies and/or people that check the site and are too shy to PM and actually ask for information. A daily post with an update would put a lot of minds at ease.

(let the flaming begin)

I 100% agree with everything duckie has said. Contrary to my comments about how she shouldnt be traveling while she is so sick, is beside the point. I actually thought one of our members died. I was out at a movie and I had total concern that it was closed due to something tragic.

Stop being such a negative nelly, we would just like updates. I don't think it is asking for much.

I agree with Duckie and Kelly here. We all would just like a daily update to her health, state of mind, whatnot. I think there is not a single person here who has not been touched by Julie's laughter, smile, kind words, or humor. I for one love her to pieces.

That said WHOEVER knows her situation that said day, why not check and if someone hasnt posted a brief update to the Julie thread you do it. Even as simple a post as "no change in condition" or "no news is good news"

I feel like she is as strong a person as there can be and if anyone can make it through this Julie can.

Good luck and prayers to you Julie!

for anyone that cares...I would never send a PM asking for personal information about anothers health situation- thats not to say I wasnt thinking of them or wondering....

Julies entire situation scares the crap out of me!! I am on facebook and there have been updates on there... but I kind of think facebook is a little too available for anyone and the updates would be best on TT as its what started this whole mess...

whomever posts an update- thank you very much

Julie if you get to reading some of these posts- we are thinking about you and sending positive energy your way- stick in there- you can do it!! be strong.

Okay, how about this...I will try to do a better job about posting updates even if it's just saying nothing new, if we can stop the flaming right here.

In the past I would update and then stop because there was nothing new. Believe me when I say I know what it's like to sit here and worry and not know anything. You know what I know. There are times when she'll be sick and I don't hear from her for a couple days! Last night she called me and told me she did a half gallon of the GoLightly mouth enema, suppositories, ct scan still shows it's not a full obstruction so everyones question is: Why isn't anything going through? At this point they have tried everything availabe except for an injection that is supposed to make you poop, but that hospital doesn't have that. Her next step seems to be surgery and she doesn't have much of a choice. If she needs surgery I will be going down and staying with her. That's all I found out from her before she started throwing up more of the GoLightly and had to hang up.
