Default A little worried and not sure what to do

Ok, Lastnight I woke up about 3am with gas, and then I had to run to the bathroom with the worst diaheraa I have ever had, and I was really cramped up. So anyway I seem to feel much better during the day, but now I feel aweful and my stomach doesn't feel to great. I really pushed the liquids all day today, but now Im starting to get a little concerned.

I don't really want to go the the ER, because I am affraid that they won't really know what to do for me since I am a RNY patient. My WLS doctor lives almost 2 hours away.

Im scared to take anything. I guess Im trying to ask at what point should I just go in, and should I insist that they call Dr. Jawad?

Sometimes these ER doctors don't always no what they are doing, and Im sure they don't have much experience with WLS patients.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?????????

Delane,

If you are feeling badly enough to think about going to the hospital- then I would. As far as the ER not knowing enough about RNY- why not go to Celebration Hospital- thats not too far from you maybe 15 minutes- they have Dr Kim on staff there- WLS doctor

I've had that happen too Delane .. just keep drinking fluids you don't want to get dehydrated. For me it lasted most nearly a day and a half then it eased up. I just attributed it to eating something that didn't agree with me.

I hope you feel better soon. But if you are still having issues as always .. call your doctor to see what they have to say.

Thanks Crimson, I'm going to give it a bit, and if it doesn't get better soon I'm going to go to Celebration ER.
