Kimberly - They DO have sugar free Oreos. I saw them just last week in Tom Thumb. I didn't get any because Sugar Free chocolate does bad things to me. But I'm sure they taste delicious.

Sugar Free Oreo Cookies
06 Feb, 2006 Author: Steve | |
Nabisco rolled out "Sugar Free Oreo Cookies" last Fall.

At first glance, it seems like a way to enjoy Oreos while watching your diet. But printed at the top-right corner of the box, it says, "NOT A REDUCED CALORIE FOOD".

So what's the point then?

The box also says that it has no cholesterol and no trans fat. Ok, I suppose that's a good thing. But you don't need to be sugar free to have those qualities.

I sense there may be something here for diabetics. But then again, just because it is sugar free doesn't mean it's safe for diabetics. Oreo cookies do contain carbohydrates, which the body converts into sugar.

Well, I'm really not a nutrition expert. I'm a junk food junkie. Other than being a marketing gimmick, I can't figure out what sugar free oreo cookies are good for, it they offer no reduction in calories.

Sound perfect for GBS patients

my parents keep them around. my niece and dad both like them. I had one just last night, as a matter of fact.

I can't eat too much of that sugar free stuff because the sugar alcohols do terrible things to my farts, but once in a while I find them delicious!

Somehow I don't like sugar free staff. Bah!

Some times I take few bites from my DH plate - he hates it with passion, so I can't eat too much of his staff.

I am actually not happy that I can tolerate all kind of foods! Cause will power is overrated, ya know …

I take my wine instead of my cookies! I like those empty calories better

haha, that's great, Sprite.. That movie was an all time great in the Kimber household.

Iffin anything I would do the regular Oreos and stash them in the freezer, and have one. Cus I have control like that, but knowing me like I know me.. that sugar would make me dump, so I'm gunna avoid them like a bad rash on a handsome man.
