And I loveee this response. it was awesome and i wasnt paying attention to the fact that she had only been fat since she got pregnant. THIS is what i hate about this surgery, they are handing it out to part-time fat ppl. What i mean by that is, she said she has a 6month old, meaning shes only been heavy like.. errr 6 months since she had the baby.... HOW DO THEY ALLOW PEOPLE TO GET SURGERY LIKE THAT? This isn't some WW diet, this is a life altering surgery.

Argh, frustration.
Ooh, me, me ... I'll go to hell with you! (Been told that by my fundie mother since I was like 10...)

And THANK YOU about the qualification thing!! "part-time fat," I LOVE that, Jersey! How true. And I've been "professionally fat" since I was like 8 or so. No wait, I take it back, I have a dim memory of "6 Husky" pants. haha...

If I'd had a chance in hell of losing the weight ANY other way, diet, ehatever, I would have taken it. I *did* take it -- it didn't work. Hells, I was on the "old" Accutrim in the 80s, when I was 12, and it had Amphetamines in it...yo-yo...brought to me by dear ol' Mom of course. Summer ended and I detoxed, not understanding why I felt like crap, and blaming it on starting my period, yeah, right, thanks. Still regained more than I'd lost.

I HATE that people see WLS as a "quick fix," rather than an extraordinary means to an end UNAVAILABLE to us by any other path.

Jersey, whatever comments people have made regarding your "anger," I'm with you, girl. I'm from a background that set me up for this, I'm struggling to gain control of my life a *lot* older than you (congrats!), and I'm damn angry still. *toast to you!*

Oh she did not say that we should stop posting replies to her question...

WHATEVER!

Oh, btw angel...which hardly seems fitting for you but I wont go into that.

I want to just touch on what I said about your child.

I am not saying you are a bad mom by any means. At all. I'm just saying, you could get to that point of yelling if you do not get a grip on anger. I didn't even say I thought you were so angry your going to yell at your kid. So chill lady. I was even being compassionate and asked you if you had anyone helping you out while you were recovering but obviously you couldn't even read into that and decided to flame. Well, you have fun with that.

You are seriously a dumbass. No offense...ok...be offended. Take it. Think before you type if you don't want to be flamed on. When you call people a bitch in a thread, it makes you as bad as anyone else. It almost sounds like you are bored at home and need something to entertain yourself. Fine. I will entertain you with my uber bitch face skillz.

I think I do have a serious question for you. Why are you here? Do you really want support? Do you want to be successful? Do you have any friends? Being this way is not going to make you any. Like anyone else I have somewhat flamed I still offered them my friendship because it really sounds like you could use one. I'm sure you will decline though.

Good luck to you. You will need it sister.

All kidding aside, I don't think this thread has been the best example of the best the TT community has to offer. We all have been/are overweight because we are human and not perfect. We don't have the right to judge whether someone is fat enough or has been overweight long enough or how they are going through the WLS experience. We are here to help people succeed at WLS, regardless of their story. The OP put herself out there looking for guidance/feedback and got pounced on. Not everyone has experience with forums and I think we should be a little gentler in our responses. TT is a great resource and critical for many of us to get through, and I hate seeing us chase anyone away. If they come here, it is for support. Show them your best. You are here because you care.

You'll likely find that some people, no mater where you go believe that it is there given right to judge everything they see, and that only their opinion will stand true.

When you come on here and ask said question with guns blazing, how else does said person expect to be answered? Seriously when you come on and brag about breaking rules the first week with a blaise tone of "what the hell"? I mean come on what do you expect. Those guns are gonna be turned right back on you.

I agree we are all here for support. But I am not gonna pat you on the back when you post about needing help with attitude and are eating crap the first week. Sorry not gonna happen. I will wish you well in your journey because you are gonna need it.

My statement is about things in general. not specifically targetting this thread.

Then in my small minded opinion, start a new thread.

It was in response to ardita - so perfectly valid.

From the first post of the OP - I actually considered the thing a troll - really to post something like that must be.

I ignore trolls, they generally go away.
