I must admit, when I posted about dumping in this thread, I had only read the OP. Today, as I'm checking the messages that have been posted since, I see that there was much more to the conversation than the OP's question, namely the stuff that followed, and I didn't want my out-of-place response to be misconstrued as acceptance of the other stuff that the OP said, so...

@Angel:
The reason you are being perceived as angry is because you responded to people's challenges of your information and/or their sarcasm with personal attacks. Calling people "bitch," "old," or "retarded" after soliciting advice or information is not exactly gonna gain you friends.

People challenged not only your questions about dumping, but rather your qualifications for WLS, because according to you, you've been thin your entire life except for your post-pregnancy weight, and have no addiction to food. And this statement worries me, too. I had to provide documentation that I had been MO for more than four years pre-op, in addition to all the other tests and qualifications. The way you describe yourself, you weren't MO...so how did you qualify?

And don't be so indignant that people are "still" responding with "old" info an entire *gasp* week later. On a message board, are you serious? People will post in this for months or years. Get over it, it's the Internet.

Wow, that's really rude. Are you aware that unless you know someone, it's incredibly obnoxious to push "prayer" on them? How do you know what their beliefs, if any, are? Or if they would be offended by you praying to your Deity/Deities in their name?

Dang.

Getting pissy about stuff I read online...my "other" transfer addiction, lol.

God told me he loves you. Jesus said go eff off.

I am going to hell, fyi. Anyone want to go with me?

And I loveee this response. it was awesome and i wasnt paying attention to the fact that she had only been fat since she got pregnant. THIS is what i hate about this surgery, they are handing it out to part-time fat ppl. What i mean by that is, she said she has a 6month old, meaning shes only been heavy like.. errr 6 months since she had the baby.... HOW DO THEY ALLOW PEOPLE TO GET SURGERY LIKE THAT? This isn't some WW diet, this is a life altering surgery.

Argh, frustration.

I can't imagine why a doctor would do surgery on her. I guess just for the money. Apparently her insurance company had no requirements in terms of how long she had to be obese or anything like that and were just willing to fork over the money.

I'm not sure how she managed to pass the psych eval, either. Or maybe she wasn't required to have one. And apparently she had little or no education pre- or post-op.
