Being a man here.

In my opinion, you should be up front. Not that it really matters anyways. He knows you have other very serious medical conditions and he is into you. If he wasnt he'd been long gone. If you tell him you have extra skin he isnt gonna care. He may really like you because you are you.

Default Oh my god!

A sleepover! That sounds like fun, Make popcorn, watch the sound of music and have a pillow fight. I LOVE sleepovers..typically we put my buddies hands in a bowl of luke warm water when they fell asleep so they'd pee. Or we'd take a sharpie and right something foul on their back or butt and not tell them.

Seriously.Us men just like women naked period! I personally would like to be told that with the port and with some loose skin that I'm still "very into you" That would probably turn most men on.

We men.. AS my wife always says. "When the Dick is up......the brain is down!"

Be up front with him and he'll be fine with it. Being a man I'd be so afraid of hurting your sensitive area around the port...the skin woulnd't be a big deal. All women look good if they'd be between my knees or me between theirs...blunt but it's how us guys think.

Don't forget for all sleepovers.....a tent made out of blankets is essential to make any sleepover a success! It's even better if you use all the cushions of every piece of furniture in your house to make the walls! & it's the absolute best if you then watch a movie eating popcorn from inside that sweet fort! Good luck!

Okay, that settles it! I really felt like I should tell him. So, most you confirmed my thoughts.

And, don't forget about telling ghost stories and other tales at sleepovers.

Now, make sure you keep things pretty pg-13 rated. The moderator will fuss at us if things get out of hand!! It has happened before....

I'm interested to know how your sleepover turns out because I deal with the same issues of skin and I worry about it too now. That's something you just don't know how to bring up. "Yeah, I'd love to go to the movies on Sat, BTW...I have terribly loose skin from all the weight I have lost. Will this be a problem for you during our hot sex"? UGH!

Another Guy here:

Like some others have said, be up front. Perhaps down play it a little. First time with new BF, you probably do not want any surprises.

This is a funny thought i had while reading this... im pre-op and the other day me and my bf were discussing the saggy skin im sure i am going to have when this is all said and done with. i was feeling all wierd about it and then i turned around and said "oh well what is worse than being as fat as i am now right?" he just gave me a "look" and walked out. In all honesty I probably shouldnt care (but I do)

Hey Janelle, I was in this situation back in early March, he knew I had WLS and I told him it was really bad and when we got down to it, he was really sweet about it, he was like "its not bad, you lied," but he was the one lying. I know its bad but, I have lost 167 i'm 4'11, I don't have room for all the skin to go to but to sag, don't worry about it if he likes you that won't matter. He used to say I didn't want to be touched and now I don't give him a moment of peace, lol, but I think he is ok with that.

this is what i would do...

when the heat of the momment comes, and he tries to take your close off....u can be like no..im embarrased. and kinda push his hands away..and hell ask emabarresed of what ..then u can tell him bout the loose skin......and im almost positive he'll be like....no its ok dont feel embarrased...girl trust me he will be so into it that playing hard to get will make him want u even more. and he'll kno bout ur skin issue...

have fun and this should work..=)

Awww sweetie, I can see how this would be a difficult thing to bring up. But I agree with everyone else, I'd mention is before hand. I wouldn't make a big dela out of it -- just do it casually. Let us know how it goes and HAVE FUN!!!

I understand what you're going through completely! I haven't told my current man about my WLS or mention the loose skin, and he's said nothing about it either. I do ALWAYS leave the Spanx at home if we're haivng a sleepover because nothing is attractive about trying to peel out of those bad boys! And more than likely, there's something your guy might be worried about in regards to himself...I thought guys were so confident...but they have their issues, too. Go figure!
