Default Sick and tired of being sick and tired!

I am 1 month out......and I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!!!!! I hurt all the time! So I take pain meds which make me sleep all the time and it is really getting me down! I finally admitted today to my husband that I wish I had never had this surgery. I pray to God my feelings change.....I have always had a high level of pain tolerance but this is more than I can stand. I just want it to go away!

I went last Friday for an upper GI and I drank after midnight and they wouldn't do it. Nobody told me I couldn't! I guess I should have known better. But they rescheduled it for this coming Friday! One week later.

I am so glad that I don't work. I don't think I could go to work anytime soon. This is really getting me down.

You are normal!

I had pain about 6 weeks - took the liquid narcotic they gave me the entire time. The only problem was when I discontinued it - withdrawal for a few days.l

All that said, they probably told you that you are dumping hormones like crazy. It's like PMS on steroids! That slows down too. In the meantime, get outside and get some sunlight. Be sure you are taking your supplements, especially Vitamin D (check your vitamin and calcium citrate content). Sunlight is FREE vitamin D, of course - but you will feel better if you have some.

This gets better. Even when I was suffering, I believed it was still better than being fat!

Keep coming here - we understand.

Just hang in there. I had those feelings for about 6 months. I don't know what you had, but they had to open me up fully. Got a nice scar on my belly. I couldn't really do much for about 6 months because physical activity would make me hurt and nausea would set in. It's been a few years and I can tell ya the feelings will change. Once the weight start's going you'll be very glad.

I got it August 2nd after my 18th birthday. And I am down to around 240. I've lost around 170 something pounds. I was pretty big. Would help if I re joined the gym hehehe. I'm still losing a little bit. I wouldn't be surprised if I was around 230 now. It's been a while since I weighed myself.

Carolina! Good luck with your GI scan on Friday. I am almost 8 weeks out and i still have twingies of pain. But if you are in enough pain for pain pills it seems like there could be a problem. I didnt get much protien.. maybe 15 g in the first month.. it made me weak and hurt more than when i was doing well right outta surgery. dont regret this decision, It DOES get better. Just continue working on getting your fluids and protiens in. Try to walk a little more, that should help with the pain as well. It helped me!

Good luck!

Hang in there.....I know how you feel......My side still really hurts and my waistband sits right on the incision that had the drain in it. I lost 15 lbs right away and now for a week nothing. I haven't had my period which is about 3 weeks overdue now. I sure do hope things get better.
