Default OT: I intensely dislike my writing class at the moment....

I'm much better at creative writing. This whole business of proper grammer, bibliographies, word counts, and MLA style of writing is for the birds. I currently have an assignment to write 2 750-1000 word essays on a controversial subject. One essay supports the topic, the other doesn't. I'm up to 439 words, which has taken 3 days to come up with. I can blab all day long, but it takes much more effort to write in all done in a way that makes sense. If I'm having trouble now, what am I going to do for the 5000 word report due at the end of the semester????? Arghhhhhhh!

Stick to the basics girl! Essays traditionally have those same 5 basic areas. Introduction, where you introduce your 3 points. The three points, and the closing statements. Lame lame lame! If you need help with opinions... feel free to hit me up girlfriend! I'm filled with them!

Default It's done

Okay, I can breath for a minute. Just completed that silly lesson. It just took so long. The next few look less intense. Did I say the last assignment I got an A on? I hope I'm not going to disappoint the instructor when he gives me a C on this one. I just didn't have it in me to do a better job. (Perfectionist me )

Hi Marie;

If it makes you feel any better, I've been doing that for almost two years. I'm working on my masters degree in Information Systems, and we do a LOT of papers - MLA format, with references. On top of that, we have a team project every class. I DREAM MLA format!!

I'm SICK of MLA!!!

On a better note, I've 5 weeks remaining in my last class and I will have my degree!!

Keep going, one day at a time - I know you can do it!

COngrats...it must feel so invigorating being only 5 weeks away! I can't wait until I reach that point......it seems soooooo far away

I really don't like MLA format. I'm more familiar with APA. APA is what I learned in high school. Also, since I'm distance learning, it takes a bit more time to wrap my mind around things. I don't have a classroom full of people to brainstorm off of. Plus, it's difficult to ask the instructor questions. It takes a few days from him to respond back. In spite of the challenges, I do get to work at my own pace. I get inspirations at the oddest times of the day!
