Greetings Divot250,

I've been 'hovering' near diabetes for a couple of years now...my sister was just diagnosed 6 months ago. Having the surgery now will hopefully mean I won't end up with it (runs like crazy in my family, too).

Sorry to hear you just were officially 'diagnosed'...but like others on the forum say, GPS is supposed to have a major, positive impact on this disease.

What are they having you do right now about it?

Thumbs up Blessings

I take meds for high blood sugar but was told that a major percentage of people after surgery will not have to take meds to control blood sugar anymore. Also I agree that now with this ailment, your surgery may very well be approved much faster.

Sorry for the delay. My Dr thinks that I'm in the begining stages of this and we treating it with meds only. He put me on a pill and right now I don't have to prick my fingers every day. And with the diet that my nutritionist put me on I'm feeling alot better now.

Divot,

What wonderful news. Your on track and need to just keep plugging away at it.

I haven't seen a doc in about 10 years so when I go in on the 14th to get all my blood work done I'm worried about the out come. But, on the other hand it could turn into a saving grace and help me get approved all the faster.

Take my hand buddy and we'll charge to that finish line together.....Merph, get over here.

Have a great day,
Charlie
