It could be that the people who are noticing you now, are noticing you because you are 'sending the message' that allows them to see you.

Does that make sense? Again, just an opinion and you know what they say about those! LOL
I think thats it!!we feel good about ourselves again and thats a great feeling.I am even wearing light coloured clothes instead of black, black, black!!!
I think most women are obsessed with weight tho and are genuinely mad to know how they could drop the lbs so they can try whatever "gimmick" we are doing.
I think the acknowledging the compliment nicely and walking away is the job allright. I was very ungracious first but now say"thanks,I am working on getting healthy"(which covers it all)
Bet you're gorgeous!!inside and out.Enjoy!

Default Stay focused on your goals

First off, when we lose a bunch of weight, we look out of ourselves differently. If you had your head down before, if you didn't expect the smiles, they may have been there and you didn't notice.

And I don't want to sound like an asshole, but men we don't know are not thinking "Wowza!" when we weigh 200 pounds...They think that about size 2, blonde, big boobed women. I mean, I'm a size 6 now and get a certain segment of men who are looking at me (most have big bellies and stained t-shirts) but the divorced doctor driving the Lexus, not quite - if you know what I mean. we have to keep perspective. This is about our health for 90% of the journey. People we know are cheering us on and we are seeing the world differently.

Getting attention for change makes sense - I mean - people are often truly impressed or happy for you as you take off those first big chunks of weight. That will change as you become thinner than they are. You will become a threat and all of a sudden, they're telling you you're too thin. Yea...they say that to me and I'm not even under a BMI of 25 yet, but at a size 6, I am smaller than 1/2 the women I know now, and some of them are getting very weird around. me. I have one friend who now is always smoothing her shirt over her tummy when she talks to me. Not comfortable.

Mainly, I try to stay focused on my goals. If I listen to all the comments, I might not work as hard. I might not be true to why I started this process and might not go all the way. Smile, say thanks, don't take the complement too seriously, and stay focused.

The attention is a massive bonus that I was just not expecting - it's so flattering and I love it. The weight has taken years off me and I am shocked at how many young men are suddenly paying me flirty attention. I don't know how to react. The other day there was nowhere to park at work and this REALLY cute twenty something French guy saw me driving around, actually waved me down (I thought I'd done something wrong!), he took 'control', ran around until he found me a place to park and then ran back to tell me (in smoky French accent) exactly where it was. He was so pleased with himself - like a faithful puppy (I hadn't asked him to do any of this and he was not a parking attendant - lol!). I nearly patted him on his head - but resisted - bless!
