Default I'm in need of a prayer also

Just found out today my mother has colon cancer and my father has been diagnosed with conjestive heart failure.

My mom is having surgery on June 2nd. Hopefully they can take enough to get all of the problemed area. The surgeon feels he can leave enough of the bowel so she will not have to have a colostomy bag the rest of her life.

My dad is on a boat load of medication and oxygen full time. There isn't much doctors can do for him, but keep the fluid levels down.

On the positive side, I have lost two pounds! I am worrying about everyone one else and it is working for my weight loss. Not a good way to get off of my plateau...

Rhonda,

It's hard but try to help your parents focus on whatever positive things they can. Positive energy will help them heal and will help you as well. I'll keepyou in my prayers.

Today is the day, my mother is in surgery and I am having trouble waiting. I am trying to stay busy here at work, but can't focus on what I'm doing. Seems like all I am wanting to do today is eat! I think I have had four bite size candy bars this morning! I can't wait to hear something....

Default Rhonda,

I'm praying as I'm writing this that everything is going just fine with your Mom! Let us know how she's doing. Hang in there and be strong!
