Default Sad News

Friday at quitting time at work, they told us one of the main roads going home (Most of us live in a nearby town) would be closed due to an accident for about 3 hours. You always have that thought, wonder who it is...Do I know them? I didn't think much more about it until a few hours later when one of my friends called and said it was this guy named Kevin. I really don't know know Kevin. He is the Manager at our local Hardees. One of my coworkers works there as her second job. Also my best friend is friends of his family. Anyways, I learned the news that Kevin was heading to take his 3 year old daughter to the sitters and then on to work when he dropped off the sholder of the road and over corrected and hit a tree. It killed both of them (what I hope was instantly). They will be burried tomorrow morning sharing the same casket. I don't want to be a downer, but even though they were only aqquaintances, I grieve for the loss that family has just faced. Fran, the grandmother burried her husband not 2 months ago, and now a son and grandaughter. The wife and mother must be facing such anquish. She usually keeps the little girl with her but was filling sick that day and let Kevin take her to sitters.

Count your many blessings and never take for granted all that you have. Each of us lead busy lives and sometimes we forget all the important things. Take a minute and reflect and give thanks.

This is very sad news. I cant even imagine what that family is going through with all the deaths so close. My prayers and hugs are being sent to them even though I have no idea who they were, but they were our family through God too.

I know what you mean... We live in a small town and every time we hear an ambulence or see the life-flight helicopter you can bet we'll know the person involved.

Very sad about that man and his daughter.
