Thumbs up Ya wanna know what's awesome?

I will update this as things happen!

Things that are awesome!

Aside from all the medical issues that are going away;

7/1/2004
Buying your underwear at Victoria Secret.
Not paying extra money for extended sizes.
Not sticking my face out or trying to extend my neck to "hide" my double chin in pictures. (Can I get a witness.)
When my behind bumps into somebody else, it's because the room IS crowded!

7/2/2004
A regular sized towel can wrap around my body... bye bye "bath sheet" towels! (Does that count as extended sizes?)

7/19/2004
Buying something smaller, because its a great deal and making it fit vs knowing it will be perfect in just a few weeks!
Buying a bra that hooks in the front! (I havent been able to do that since JR High!)
Feeling beautiful.
Buying a new shirt for less than $4.00, I was never able to do that 5 months ago!

I will share more as I experience them. I never made a list of 100 things, but I keep getting astounded every so often!

Default Too Funny

You guys are cracking me up! None of this would click with people who have never been "plus size". I can't wait to experience and share these little things that mean so much. I had my pre-op with Dr. C yesterday. I found out I will be an open procedure due to so much scar tissue from previous surgeries. I am the 3rd case scheduled for that day so I don't "go under" til 3:30. I can't believe it, 5 more days! Yahoo! Today is my last day at work for 6 weeks. It is actually kind of sad too. Good friends here. About 25 of us are going to Chili's for a "good luck" send off at lunch today. I know I won't get thru it without blubbering like an idiot. Anyone else getting done on July 7th?

Talking Knocking things over with my A$$

I have previously posted my 100 list, but one of my favorites that is not on the list is that I no longer knock things over with my A$$. When I was MO I was constantly knocking things over literally with my butt cuz I didn't know it stuck out so far. Now I can't even find my A$$.

Smile Bridget I just love you!!!

Bridget,

You are so cute!! I know what you mean though. For those that don't know my nephew came out to spend the summer with me and when I was waiting at the airport terminal for him (He was an unescorted minor so they give you a ticket to pick him up at the gate) I was sitting in a chair up there and this cute little boy was staring at me with a wierd face I smiled at him and then he came over and hugged me.. neither one of us recognized each other.. LOL We both lost weight. How funny is that??!!?? Then the other night when we were eating dinner I went to go behind his chair and he scooted waaaaaaaaay in.. remembering how I would never have fit through that tight space before and it felt great that I could walk through straight instead of doing the turn and tip toe thing.. LOL This is too fun.. oh and not only that he can sit on my lap sideways and you can still see my knees!!! YAY!!!

Anyway thats what is amazing to me.. that and being able to take pictures without fear.. and I am only 1/2 way to goal or more.

You guys are right about shopping at Vickie's Secret. I am in Medium undies now instead of size 12 and I'm down from a 44 to a 36. I had fun shopping at the half yearly sale. I am even stocking up on size small nightie's. Shopping is actually fun now.

I got a few of my own....

crossing my arms and actually locking my hands under my arms......AMAZING!

I HAVE A LAP!!!!!!

Not having to use beach towels after my shower to wrap all the way around me! AMEN!!!

Standing on a stool without feeling like I would break it in 2 pieces!

Bending over to get something out of the passenger seat in my car!!

Just a few that I can think of.....but I will be back! <LOL>
