Naughty can be nice!
Sorry the younger guy was a jerk, but I've definitely found it to be a good thing. Matt and I have been together for four months now (today, actually is our 4 month anniversary... how funny!) and it's been fantastic. I'm 8 years older than him - something that totally freaked me out when we were talking about dating. It took me a while to not be such a stress monkey about it, but ultimately, age doesn't matter one damn bit. My ex-husband was 8 years older than me and he never treated me with the respect and kindness that Matt does now. Not that I'm trashing my ex - he had many wonderful qualities about him. However, the difference is the person, not the age. The difference is having someone who adores you for everything you are - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm just so grateful to finally be at a place in my life where I actually want a good relationship and can tolerate someone being kind and loving - sounds strange, but it's true.
My wish for all of you is that you find the person who's perfect for you - no matter what the package looks like or how old it is. We all deserve to be happy and in love.

Barbara,
It is so good to have you back. I just love to read you writing. You just have an awesome way of putting words together.
Congrats on the 4 months. You and your new bo got together a little bit before my surgery. How wonderful you must feel now.
Brenda, take is slow and enjoy each moment. You don't have to rush into anything just enjoy each other for now.

Here's my theory on younger guys. Somehow, they've figured out what a lot of guys in my (our) generation haven't: It's not all about how we look. They're sometimes more emotionally mature then guys our age, and will sometimes see past our plus size exterior and love the woman on the inside. (or see the hottie on the outside AND the inside )
That being said, older guys are great, too. Go for it Brenda! But take care of your heart!

My husband is a year younger then me!! Of course when we started dating 500 million years ago, I just assumed he was the same age as me. Never even really asked him. I was in college at the time. Then one day a bunch of his friends were over, and one of them said "Who's the hot chick?? Oh yeah, this is your college girl huh?" Then another guy said, "Oh yeah you showed me her picture during 4th period." I just about fainted! But now, somehow he's older then me. I don't know how that happened, but he is almost 33 and I'm 30..... go figure
