Thanks for the encouragement, Mike. I heard this quote from Warren Buffet that my boss uses: “It is not necessary to do extraordinary things to get extraordinary results.”

I am starting to do those things. I've lost 6 pounds on my pre-diet, so I feel good about that.

Also, I am going out tonight to listen to some jazz. A good friend of ours sings. I know things will get better. I'm just getting a little impatient, but I know it'll be here before I know it.

Default Mike, Fisher1000 Advice

Wow! Great advice! I weaned off Diet Coke about two weeks before surgery and I AM SO GLAD I DID. I actually got headaches, etc. - and I'm glad I didn't have to deal with all that post-op, with everthing else I had going on.

I don't like to drink water - so I add Crystal Lite packets to it - especially Ruby Red Grapefruit and Lemonade. Drinks lots of water - especially post-op in hot weather (we dehydrate quicker than before).

I did Slim Fast twice a day before surgery - with food once a day (supper). The "cappuccino delight" is actually quite good. I think there are 10g of protein in each one. Frigo light string cheese is another good protein source.

Good luck on your surgery. It took me almost a year to "qualify" for mine with my insurance company - but it was worth it.

Love,

GrandmaRose
