Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I do attend Al-Anon on Tuesday nights.

I decided to take today off from work. I just completed my assignment and sent it off for grading. I'd say I did an excellent job. The words just flowed.

Default A glimmer of hope.....

After a crazy morning...I think there just may be light at the end of this tunnel. My hubby has allowed someone from a rehab program to come and take him. He won't actually be admitted until tomorrow. They wanted to wait to bill us until he's completely sober before signing the paperwork. For tonight, he'll get some one-on-one support and a safe place to detox again. Since he's in a home enviroment vs a hospital, I hope he feels more comfortable in staying. The place is within walking distance to the beach and there's plenty of activities to get involved with.

Keeping praying.....

Marie,
I am glad he is seeking help. I am also glad you are attending Al-anon. As you know from here support from people in a like situation is the key.

I put my first husband out 16 times, it didn't work, maybe for a while each time, but I was the one who suffered, because every time I put him out, it gave him freedom to do whatever he wanted to do. I hope all works out well, but for me, it didn't, putting him out only made things worse. We want so much to believe that our love is stronger than any addiction, but that is not the case. It got to the point that throwing him out, or refusing to let him come home only did more harm to me and my kids. The only thing that sobered up my first husband was my marriage to John.
