Default Coming Unglued

I don't know if it is the looming surgery or just the stress I have been under but I feel like I am coming unglued. Doctor has me on Lexapro now and that makes me feel worse than I did before. I don't think I'm depressed and I don't understand how they can treat Depression and Anxiety with the same drug. I just wish I could get back to feeling normal again.

Sorry to hear your feeling down. Do you know it takes several weeks (4 to 6 I think) to get enough of the medication in your blood stream to work? I was on antidepressants for years and every time I changed meds I had to wait about 30 miserable days to begin to feel any better. Try to relax, get involved in something you enjoy, and wait to see if the lexapro begins to take effect. I had some good results with it. Hopefully, you will too.

It's normal to feel stress before surgery. It is a major thing you're about to under go. Just try to relax and do something to try to ease your mind.

Default Hang in there

I think a lot of us felt that way before our surgery. I know for sure I did! It helped so much to have the support groups and this forum to lean on. You will make it through and become a stronger person for it.
