Balding cry baby needs props!!!
O.K., my only reason for writing is because I am having a pity party about my HAIR!!!!!!.
I am mourning the passing handfuls of strands, the locks of curls are fluffy poofs of frizz. I go to the hair dresser 5-5-05 and seriously think I am venturing on to a new do!!! What do you all suggest. Other than a complete buzz cut??
Enough wah, wah, wah!!!! I want to cry but then I see my shrinking body and know that in time the hair will come back.
Wish me locks, I mean luck!!!

I sort of took a proactive approach. With anticipation that mine is going to fall out in clumps I went to the hairdresser and had my hair cut shorter. I figure if it is shorter and falls out it won't be like having long strands come loose.
Instead of a new do consider dying it. Blonde, Purple, Orange. Why not. That way as it falls out you won't miss it. That way you will anticipate your new hair growing back (just kidding).
My sister is four years out and still has a bald patch on top. We were in the sun all day a few weeks ago and her scalp got sun burned. Ouch. She had thin hair before the surgery. Now she is lucky to have hair.
Good luck on your next cut. In a few months I will be in your shoes. I am hoping to look good in hats.

I also have long hair and it is thick so nobody noticed the fact it thinned out a little. My hair dresser even told me when she spotted new growth. If your hair is naturally thick I suggest riding it out.

You have seen my hair Rain, although my hair is not nearly as thick as yours.... I just had more layers cut into my hair. That why it lightened it up a lil bit and created a more " bouncy " look ....... Good luck sugar pea, Im sure it doesnt look nearly as bad as you think it does!

Hair
I have thick hair. When I started to loose hair no one notice but me and the lady that cuts my hair. I also did what Bridget did, and got lots of layers. Mine is now growing back, and that drives me crazy because now I have all these baby hairs sticking out all over the place, so I cut it all off. I actually love my hair the way that it's now. Short and layerd. It takes longer to do it now. MAN the price we pay to be cute!

Hats!
I've decided that it might be a good idea to invest in HAT stock!
I have very long, baby fine hair so you know I'm dreading the losing hair thing.
Anyway my doctor has me taking biotin and zinc pre-op. He said it will slow down the hair loss after surgery.

Mine was (and WAS is the right word) baby fine, but thick. I could put it in a pony tail and wrap the elastic band around it 2, maybe 3 times tops. Now try 6 times. So, I got some hair extensions. Put the mess in a pony tail, clip the extension on and I have HAIR!!! I love them. Matched my original color perfectly (without the grey that is, lol). Got them at Jade Beauty Supply in Rancho Bernardo.

I had a hysterectomy when I was 23 and I lost about half of my hair. I was devastated!!! I know how you feel. It came back very slowly. Then I started losing it again and I found out I had a thyroid condition.I got on the meds for that and it came back again. So far (9 wks out) my hair hasn't started falling out yet (knock on wood). I would just see your stylist and she if they can't make it look fantastic until it stops. I figure if mine falls out at least I'll be bald and thin!!
